We are frequent visitors but to Playa Blanca at the other end of the island. We were supposed to be flying out in a couple of weeks but naturally that was cancelled so I've rebooked for October instead.

I would move out there permanently if I could but unfortunately I can't

Hi Guys,
Well, had 5 perfect days of 25+ degrees in Mornington, oh bugger its started to rain today and down to 20.
Ah well, the roses need it.

However just up the road about 2000kms around Sydney. Colossal floods and rains. worse than a record created in 1961.

They showed vision of a complete house which was built on stumps, floating down the river. I've heard of moving house but that is ridiculous. Sorry for the poor owners.

Absolutely love that part of the country. I was fascinated about the Harold Holt incident, and really enjoyed hiring a car and driving all the way down to end of the peninsula. What was the name of the town with the brightly-coloured beach huts? I seem to remember them fetching for obscene amounts of $$

It's late summer here in Harare, lovely balmy temperature and plenty of sun. I moved here 15 years ago with my Zimbabwean wife and love it here.

I get to see all the Palace games on the Sky equivalent here and usually return to the UK twice a year to see family, friends, go to Selhurst and a couple of away matches. Due to Covid I've been here since March 2020, but no real hardship.

To give you an idea of the cultural differences, a short story. Two weeks ago I got 5 new tyres for the car; the guys at the shop asked if I wanted the old tyres and I said " no, you can get rid of them" to which they seemed quite pleased. When I got home I was asked if I had the old tyres. " No, told the guys to get rid " I said." AArrgghh, I could have got 5 goats for those, can't you go back and get them? "

It is a delightful day in my 'Neck of the woods' on the south coast.
Clear blue skies, bright and sunny but a tad breezy especially on the beach where my dear wife and I have been earlier today.

Pleasant, sunny 27 C max here in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It's the end of summer/ start of autumn.

Had been in a 7 month lockdown, but everything has been open since October. Free to travel within the country although international borders are currently closed except to truck traffic. Children, including my own, are back at school but with each class halved and switch between a week in school and a week at home doing zoom lessons. Very few vaccines are being dished out (2m so far), and I'm not so hopeful of getting one. It's the Sputnik V.

Since people are dying like flies in Brazil, I can envisage a new wave heading this way.

Mine's a light and bitter.

My last foreign holiday was BA / Mendoza last February.

I had been to BA before on business and always said I'd go back for a holiday.

Love the place, and I always found the people there to be really friendly. Hope to get back one day...

East Preston Willo?
my daughters just moved near to the smaller section of shops.
(from central worthing by main station, which was a bit shabby TBH)
Anyway, a decent day, I've been painting the exterior of a bungalow in Goring today, fine weather !

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

Mount Martha may be where you are thinking of for beach huts but they are dotted all down Port Phillip Bay and yes, they go for silly money, like Pds Stg 150K.
Do'nt know when you were last here but seems everyone wants to get pissed.
A number of boutique Breweries have arisen and a Gin a Rum and a Whisky distillery have opened up.
Ah paradise, Hic!
