Have to agree with this unfortunately. Had hopes to see more consistency from RLC at Fulham but it hasn't happened. In fact, in some recent matches Parker seems to have used him as an impact sub rather than play him from the start.

Would take Gallagher, though - he's young enough to learn and improve.

. . . & be turned into a CDM

Need at least 2 in the midfield. Lundstrum is available on a free, which is right up Palace's street. Plus one other.

Also need 2 centre backs, one winger, and a proper forward - not a big lump to hold the ball up, we never cross the ball, so a fast breaking player would suit better - in the AJ mould.

Hennessey, Sakho, Dann, Benteke, Batshuayi all out to make some room on the wage bill.

Yes, good call but i also think Mateta is going to be a hell of a good player, quick, strong, clever and a goal scorer

Of the current squad only MacArthur deserves to be retained in midfield.

RLC and Gallagher would make us look half decent.

All depends on what the (hopefully new) manager thinks.

I am sure there are a few more promising players lurking in the lower leagues on a par of Watkins, Bowen & Toney
we could develop at reasonable prices.

Our Chief Scout/Procurer I am sure is combing the Championship.

If he isn't, given our lack of funds, he should be.

One thing that this season has shown is Luka has been in poor form. However, he had loads of international team trouble, which he has now retired from. This could mean he improves for us. In all fairness to him he's had much better seasons than this one but his difficulties are resolved. Let's hope!

Luka has been so careless in possession this season and were there are other options available I question whether he would have kept his place. He seems like a great guy to have around, but he really needs to find his old form if he is to be a regular starter next season. If Roy stays then I think we need another option to Jairo. In the few games where we've played more on the front foot he excelled constantly looking for the ball and keeping things moving. When we've played a low block and handed over possession he drifts out of games. Also, having Luka and Jairo in the middle means we are far too slow.

Personally I am in agreement that Gallagher looks a great option. He reminds me of a young McArthur. I really hope we can buy him though rather than a loan. I really liked RLC when he was here, but he played his best football in the role Eze fills and he probably doesn't work hard enough, added to that he continues to have injury issues which are possibly going to be recurring.

Whatever we do, we seriously need to add more pace in central midfield and in central defence if we are ever to play anything other than a low block.

I don't think RLC has fulfilled his potential.

He's also injury prone.

He's looked good in patches at Fulham but he's also drifted through games.

Certainly needs to leave Chelsea, steer clear of injury and get his confidence and fitness levels up.

I'd take him on loan for a season but wouldn't look to buy him outright.

I concur with the comments I have highlighted.

I have witnessed RLC in a few Fulham games this season and I have not been overly impressed with his performances.

No doubt Dougie's on the case right now tracking a midfield dynamo nobody's heard of from a mediocre Eastern European team at a bargain basement price.

He'll come in and knock spots off the competition and we'll all say, wow, what a great find!

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Think we just need one to add some youth/competition and bite into things. Ideally, we'd see Eze playing in his preferred AM position...which only leaves too spots. Happy for Luka/Jairo/Macca and newbie to compete for those.

Disagree. Luka, Jairo, Eze and Schlupp all have their merits.

Dougie's scouring the released players list from the Scottish Championship.
