my god, in my head he was the youthful, tall, lean GK with a mop of blonde hair. I remember him being around a few soccer schools when I was younger and it was pretty inspiring to have a first team squad player about. Obviously I was oblivious to his lack of ability. Remember when Martyn got a red for chopping someone down outside of the box? Not sure if that would have been Woodman or Suckling coming on. Just sparked a memory.

He'd make a good double act with Bob 'The Cat' Bevan.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I have had the pleasure of seeing Bob 'The Cat' Bevan on stage.

He and Gareth Southgate started at Palace together and became good friend. They wrote a book together called Woody and the Nord, which was autobiographical. A good read and good insight.

I don't remember him for Palace, but he spent a number of years at Northampton.

No. Me too. I've seen him at a 'do' somewhere, can't remember what it was. But one of the funniest blokes. Had me in stitches. A few clips on YouTube if you've got the time.

Look at joe_cpfc's link as he mentions the book.

Bob 'The Cat' Bevan was on stage at a function when Bernard Manning performed at 'Crystals'.

I posted "Undr The cosh" up in General Talk back in the beginning of March but ohhh no you lot weren't interested.

Then Old joe_cpfc smarty pants, look at me la de da, puts the link up and you lot are all over it. Well I am deeply hurt and offended.....or not really

Andy selling Stan Collymore his car is classic.

It's a great series and very funny. Give the Andy Roberts and Wilb A ones a go. I think there are about 80ish in total.
