Unless of course there is no genuine desire to maintain the law and live in a community that is not run by criminals.

These communities are controlled by the Democrats. As are the local police forces. And in many of the worst crime spots, those Democrats are overwhelmingly African-American.

This is the point. The Democrats have the ability to make all kinds of positive changes. They choose not to.

The Democrats/Left in general have zero interest in encouraging people to achieve. To aspire to something better. There are literally billions of dollars in the 'equality' industry that requires people to stay mired in the s***. It is the ultimate Catch 22.

The Democrats deliberately choose to keep African-Americas down because it suits them politically and financially.

I call it a Blackwash, what is the president of the united states doing calling the Floyd family before the verdict, calling for murder charge, is this not perverting the course of justice, I would call for a retrial and get 12 independent jurors in from Russia to try the case..

I'msure Chauvin's lawyer will appeal on these grounds.
The president should not stick his nose in.

Because it's much easier to 'defund the police'

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but instead of the endless recriminations between all sides, and if a "legacy" is truly desired from what happened, isn't this a perfect opportunity to have a massive recruitment drive for more black police officers, both in the States and here?

Don't like the current policing? Then police your own communities with "your own".

Make law enforcement a valued job in the community. Be flexible with the base requirements to become a police officer if need be and make it financially rewarding. Any shootings subsequently wouldn't be racially motivated in this case, it would just be a wrong'un police officer or a wrong'un criminal.

Make being a police officer aspirational for the youth of the community.

Unless of course there is no genuine desire to maintain the law and live in a community that is not run by criminals.

A genuine opportunity to reboot, but I'm under no illusions that it has as much chance of happening as Palace being invited into the next Big 6 breakaway.

This sounds reasonable but seems to have the potential for trouble. I haven't seen the video which must be doing the rounds.

Or Chauvin could get a team of the most expensive lawyers in the country and get off.

Maybe the media is finally waking up?

White House Press Secretary dodges questions about Biden's role in promoting racist legislation.

Now if that was Trump's Press secretary there be a media s*** storm.

The Irish Nchenko case is similar, yet loads are bending over backwards to make it racist. I can completely understand families being upset but there does have to be some consideration for a very harsh reality. It's literally kill or be killed, or let others get seriously hurt or killed. Police have got seconds to make that choice.

It was a hectic situation, but the girl (who was substantial in size and so impossible to ascertain her age in the moment really) did look to be lunging towards another girl with a knife. This happened seconds after the cop got out of his car and was an understandable judgement call. It was unfortunate but given that the alternative could've been just as bad (letting someone get stabbed), I very much doubt regardless of any peripheral noise, that this cop will be charged with anything.

The Court of public opinion is enough. That's the problem. Whoever shouts loudest is in the right currently.
