That"s standard mate, probably worldwide. The pubs closing is also here, as with shops not in a town center , they were struggling before covid. After a month over here you will be glad to go back and get some fresh air in your lungs, and grade A seafood!

Super spreader events like millions of people at festivals start this off. Even the pro lockdown, pro every intervention going real experts admit this. There was a lot of U.K. anger over everything closed in the U.K. while India were letting in thousands for, I think, half capacity test cricket matches. I thought it was because it was warmer over there but it looks as though the first Covid season started there late and this next season might have something to do with that. I can’t be calling them waves because we’ll one day be referring to wave 15.

Yes, huge religious gatherings no doubt don't help matters one bit. From the point they're at now with vast numbers of cases and a slow vaccination drive it looks like a tough road ahead. They're reached the nightmare scenario of hospital capacity being exceeded. A bad time to get ill.

Do you know who are suffering predominantly Democratic states who've locked down heavily & have stringent face mask laws.

I do agree. But I think it’s a case of mix too much during the inevitable Covid season at the wrong time and it peaks too much.

Last year when were rightly complaining about high badly the government was doing e.g. death rates versus other countries, an expert said the fat lady has not cleared her throat yet.

He made the point that it would be at least 1 year or more before you can start to judge how well countries have done. I think he is right we seem to have weathered the storm whilst others are still going through it.

I feel for the people of India it must be terrible and concerning for anyone over here who has relatives over there. Maybe it will motivate UK Indians to get the jab now that they see what is happening back home.

I see we've dropped out of the top 20 for deaths per population size. Good news for hmg and support has been there through those darkest times. Nice one boris.

The vaccine gamble paid off. It was always a case of wait until it’s been at least a year to compare all countries and probably previous years and immediately the picture has changed.

The test and trace, apps and all the other cr@p was only worthwhile at the very beginning, but we didn’t have tests and couldn’t produce them so completely pointless. Starmer couldn’t shut up about it, and maybe never will. But once Covid has reached everywhere it’s a pointless exercise because it won’t vanish unless you completely lock everyone indoors.

We need to get on with life unless a variant from elsewhere in the world that evades all our vaccines is on its way here. Even then I only agree with some restrictions because this is going to get even more ridiculous.
