As stated earlier wissie, charity begins at home which isn't just a saying, it's a fact!

It certainly isn't a fact at all! It's an opinion and not a very nice one at that. It's not human nature to be greedy either. Its human nature to be compassionate. Only the greedy are greedy.

Charity begins with the needy. I am lucky and have not had to rely on charity at any time in my life. Indeed quite the opposite. As my needs are modest I have been able to help others, especially in the latter quarter of my life. There are a number of people now thriving partly due to some assistance from me. That, I can assure you, is a very nice feeling. Giving is always better than receiving. I bet Bill Gates is a much happier man today than ever he was when running Micro-soft.

You read too deeply wissie. basic human instinct and looking after yourself is a primary act. That was my point. You clearly helped out but only when you were in a position to. As you wrote. I'm sure when you and yours were struggling, if ever, the primary care was just that. You and yours.

Not at all surprised that this odious turd is grassing up his ex boss.

He is an odious turd, who worked for another odious dishonest compulsive lying turd, whose girlfriend got him to sack him, which he then did. So, I imagine its going to get very personal. I imagine he will spill plenty of beans.
As for Dominic Grieve, he doesn't have the right to an opinion in the light of his anti-brexit position.

It's all just politics. You should vote for candidates and parties that will intervene in your lives the least. We are so over-governed, that's why the Brexit vote was so positive - massive chunks of government axed at a stroke.

Where did you get that idea? Human nature is not compassionate in the slightest. Compassion is a construct of civilisation. In Roman times, which, by the way was a civilised time, unwanted babies would be thrown away as if they were merely effluent. Not exactly compassionate, huh? Have you ever seen the indifference on the faces of third world peoples when their townsfolk are dying from disease? Hardly compassionate.

What you might be referring to is first world ideals. Not nature. Maybe only first world people and third world dictators are greedy? And the needy have nothing to give except empathy for each other.

My guess is that you have never seen third world poverty. You seem to have ideas about what 'ought' to be, not what is real. You use the word 'ought' an awful lot. It is an idealists word. And idealists only exist in the luxury of riches.

I have lived for several years in a third-world country and seen abject poverty at first hand. I have witnessed there a sharing culture which extended to all. There was nothing the least idealistic about it. It was just part of the culture. Whilst it's true that there was often not a lot to give what was given was usually enough for survival, together with care and kindness. That there was also a greater acceptance of the inevitability of death, especially when adequate, affordable health care was non-existent, than we are familiar with, is also true but that wasn't due to any lack of compassion.

So I believe you are completely wrong. Compassion is one of the primary things which sets humans apart from the animals. It has enabled societies to develop, cooperate and prosper.

No. I’m saying anyone voting for Johnson full in the knowledge of his lack of morals has a similar moral compass.

You do talk some utter twaddle.

More Lefty media drivel kicked off by people Boris has slighted in some way.

The bitter ex employees and the predictable media efforts to damage anything that threatens their little agenda.

This is all very good news, because it means that the vaccination program and the lockdowns have been very successful and that near normality is just around the corner.
In Boris' moment of triumph, the usual weasels will try to undermine all that.

Of course there will always be some people who are so dumb that they actually take this stuff seriously.

You cannot give what you haven't got, but we all have something to give.

It doesn't need to be money, or things. Giving some love, attention, care or even a simple smile will often be the most valuable gift to someone else.

Looking after yourself and your own is a duty. We are discussing charity. That's my point.

‘Lefty media drivel’ being published by the Daily Mail, that famously left wing news outlet. That ‘bitter ex employee’ also happened to be his closest advisor and essentially ran the country on his behalf while in position. He was always the ‘brains’ behind the operation and he knows where all the bodies (150,000 odd) are hidden. It also looks like he kept the receipts of all the discussions that went on (more than whoever paid for the refurbishment did apparently...)

Johnson has presided over a catastrophic response to pandemic by almost any measure you choose. The vaccination role out has been great, but that’s akin to applauding someone for putting out the fire that they let rip first.

You are one of those unfathomable Johnson cheerleaders where he could kill one of your loved ones and make love to the corpse and you would still vote for him. And somehow there’s still 40% of the country that are like you.

Funny how so many people seem to have sided with Cummings now. This time last year they wanted him hung drawn and quartered! What a funny world

I thought the death toll in the UK now compares favourably with a lot of similar countries? Perhaps I'm wrong.

Yup I made the same point. Last year he was a liar now apparently he is to be believed.
