Surely know is the time for giving some of the younger players some game time, i think Roy must know he is not going to be Manager next season and has no intention of doing what is best for the club and will stubbornly plod on with his favorite old out of contract players, Roy has done a good job at the club, but his current line up is leaving a bad taste

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

He will be here next season along with Tekkers but no Wilf another season of pain and relegation beckons.

Really? I think Hodgson does want the best for Palace. He is unlikely to pitch any youngsters in against Citeh on Saturday (not a fair baptism) but once we are mathematically safe we might just see one or two on the bench and given a cameo or two. He did it with Dreher a couple of seasons back. It's a question of whether he thinks the youngsters are both good enough and ready for a debut. We may well see Rak-Sakyi and Hannam given that chance now that both have been given bench time.

I agree with you.

I think you will find he's picking players that he thinks will get results. I also think you will find that's his job. Just because you don't agree with his selections it gives you no right to make that ridiculous statement.

It gives me the right to make any statement, there are better players sitting on the bench, Mateta, Schlupp, Mitchell, Kelly, McCarthy are all better than the starting 11, Roy is in my opinion like an aged man who hasn't caught up with technology, same tactics he has used for the last 50 years.

Bottom of the Table of Shots, Missed Chances (didn't create any) and hitting the woodwork, but don't worry we are top of the getting disposed table, says it all pathetic with the players we have

And yet we are probably safe with loads of games to spare.

Mateta is probably a contractual thing. We don't want to trigger the payout by letting him play enough games. Schlupp is probably not 90 minutes fit. McCarthy can't play ten minutes without being injured. Mitchell will not get ahead of Van Arnholt until the latter signs a new contract.

Our biggest problem is how we will finance the upgrading of this squad in a post Covid season. We have been generally lucky this season and I don't think we will finish too far away from the drop zone. Next season will be the biggest test of this team we have had since we came up.

I was looking back over previous season performances recently and it re emphasised how well we have done since our promotion. We have never been in the top league for more than two seasons in a row and for the most part we have been second tier or below.

Celebrate this golden period and hope for something miraculous next season.

Again, this is YOUR opinion. What I object to is you claiming that Hodgson is not working in the best interests of the club.

I would be amazed if Roy or Benteke is here next season. I think they’ve already got Lampard or Howe lined up and are just waiting for us to be mathematically safe.

I think there is a massive difference of opinion between Parish/Freedman and Roy, I think the Stubbiness of Roy is not what Parish wants, he isn't going to sack him but i don't think he will renew his contract, time will tell

I think if Roy was a few years younger, he would be offered a longer deal and given the opportunity to overhaul the squad.

But after this season is over , it feels like the right time to make a change in my opnion.
