order a 'phal' willo.
not many curry houses do it, as its way hotter than vindaloo
(shafiques does if you ask for it)
I have it occasionaly, but its a total cant go out the next day, Ghandi's revenge job.

If there is "Phall" on the menu, rest assured I order it!
If only 'Vindaloo' I ask for it to be "Extra hot" !!
I have had umpteen takeaways from Shafiques in Angmering !

That phal is hardcore. Had it after a match once and no drink would stop the burn.

When I first met the lady who is now my wife, back in the 80s, I used to always order 'Tandoori Chicken' which is flavourful but not in the category "Hot".

At a restaurant she commented that I really should try a different dish instead of being "Boring" and ordering the same dish every time. She was aghast when I ordered a "Phall" commenting that I cannot go from a Tandoori Chicken to a Phall ! I consumed the LOT, no issues at the time and no affects afterwards. I was 'Hooked' !!!!

I used to eat Phal's but a long time now since I last had one.

Hottest I've ever had was at the Weymouth Tandoori. On holiday some years back, my mate Kevin and I did our usual and ordered 2 between us. He took one mouthful and couldn't eat it. So I ate the lot.

The next day was his wife's birthday. We were at the pub for opening time and I was at the bar about to order when the ' trouble ' started. I had to quickly excuse myself and minced back to our accommodation where I spent the next hour and a half regretting playing the tough guy the night before....

You're making me hungry for a proper Indian. All toned down here in Ireland. Fish and chips are rubbish too.

If my understanding is correct you are not suggesting that the bottom fell out of your world, but the world fell out of your bottom.

cook your own curry.
you cant go wrong with Mr.Vikki base sauce.(keswick marker)
brown the lamb, put the whole jar in, then the jar again of water.
reduce it over about 1 hour - 1.5hrs.
its the same as a good curry house.
plus you can add coconut or heat to your fancy

they also do crazy fool hot stuff, if thats your thing.
