That's very different to a situation like Brexit which is one which could, in time, be reversed and in the meantime threatens the integrity of the United Kingdom.

I don't have any "gloom" over Brexit! I don't sit shedding tears into my coffee. I recognise the reality of where we are, despite believing it was a very stupid thing to do and one which was handled in a totally inappropriate way.

My efforts are 100% positive. If that means getting people to realise what a mistake it was, then that's a positive step towards correcting it.

So positivity is situation dependent.

So what if I "don't live here"? I didn't realise this forum was only for UK residents only or did I miss that in the forum rules? I have experience from "living there" for years plus living elsewhere for years. I have friends and family in the UK who are angry and fed up with the flag waiving, vaccine nationalism, government lies and plenty of other related issues. So, someone disagrees with your opinion, live with it or stop posting comments.

Again you are way off the mark, where has anyone stated this forum is for UK residents only? Or have I missed something? It doesn’t bother me if people disagree with my opinion, that is what discussion forums are all about. Maybe you should take your own advice.
I have stated on here mistakes were made but not only by the UK Government. IMO the handling of the vaccine programme has been extremely good, if that makes me a vaccine nationalist (?) so be it,

Completely agree. Everything the bloke says is negative and confrontational. Turns up and picks arguments with posters.

I don’t care if I agree or don’t with people in here but to constantly argue is quite depressing.

Not Palace and not even in England any arguing is just with a troll. It's like me going on the Brighton forum and talking about politics. Why would I unless I was a total dick?

So, here’s the thing. You could be right about Brexit and any potential damage. You could, however, be wrong. That it was a mistake is your opinion and, for a variety of reasons, the true impact may not be seen for a number of years.
My problem with this whole Brexit thing is that some of those who voted remain arrogantly like to claim some bizarre intellectual moral high ground - as though they are educating the great unwashed - and that they feel the need to take it upon themselves to educate the ‘thickos’. Whereas leavers like to claim a bizarre victory and jump on anything we do well as a sign Brexit worked. Both attitudes are far more damaging to the UK than the vote, and it’s time to move on.

To me, both sides were handled badly, both sides made mistakes and the vote should never really have happened. Cameron was probably one of our worst ever PM’s.

But here’s a genuine question and I accept it’s rhetorical. If the EU decided to set up an EU Army, with ships, troops, planes etc from every member state what would your reaction be? Would you support, accept and be in favour of this, as a natural direction of travel for what was a trading block? This is not a loaded question at all - I don’t trust the EU and I do not trust their long term motives. (But I wouldn’t have called a referendum if I was Cameron and Johnson is hardly a pillar of the community)!

Very well articulated and sums up my thoughts on the matter in about 4 paragraphs less than my comments!

Blimey even the BBC acknowledges that the NHS got the £350m (Brexit Intervention).

It doesn't say that at all, and it is in 2018 two years before brexit even happened.

A bit like your trade deals, either non-existent or spectacularly useless.

A trade deal is supposed to increase trade, not reduce it.

Which is another problem with Brexit. People who wanted us to remain spent years asking where the £350m was, years before we’d even left - which always make me laugh. The whole thing was a joke from pretty much every angle and every argument was and is tailored to suit whatever argument and whatever side/agenda someone wants to pose at that particular moment in time.

When you say “your deals” what do you mean? Are you not British? Or so ashamed you wish you weren’t?

I’m still interested in the answer to this question from someone that loves the EU and thinks anyone that voted leave is clearly the uneducated spawn of the devil :-

I do accept it’s rhetorical. If the EU decided to set up an EU Army, with ships, troops, planes etc from every member state what would your reaction be? Would you support, accept and be in favour of this, as a natural direction of travel for what was a trading block? (With, for some weird reason, it’s own flag).

Personally I don’t trust the EU and I do not trust their long term motives. (But it’s fair to say I wouldn’t have called a referendum if I was Cameron and I accept that Johnson is hardly a pillar of the community)!
