TIME IS UP Roy

Thank you for holding fort but club has stagnated, which means its going backwards, we might still finish in 17th way things are going, and still fans will say "Great job Roy, can you stay for another season"..

Time to get real, we have defenders on the bench but he still plays a midfield player in defence and look at goal difference, third worse in the league.

End of season is coming. Phew!!

Kouyate had been a CB and has had some excellent performances in that position this season. Also, he has had to step up in extremis to cover serious injuries in that position.

I doubt there have been 2 consecutive matches where we have been able to field a settled back 2 which has largely contributed to the poor goal difference and less confident team in front.

Roy is as open to fair criticism as any other manager, but this criticism is not fair.

Friendly reminder Batshuayi asked Hodgson to give him a chance, he gave him 15 mins at the end of Everton in which he scored our equaliser and he hasn’t been played since

Couldn't play v Chelsea.

Didn't play v Leicester + Man city as we needed a better defensive player given the oppo.

You say stagnated, but many will look on Roy’s tenure as stability, after the manager merry-go-round we had been on.

Why he hasn’t got us qualifying for the Champions League with this squad, is seen as underperforming by many.

Earlier in the season Hodgson mentioned that he was keen on still managing / coaching yet now he says he's not sure?
Put yourself in Parish's shoes for one moment: next season is critical to the club's fortunes - playing staff out of contract and over the hill, need to reduce salaries, Academy not ready yet for PL level, return of crowds etc. There's a lot to do so the last thing I would want is a manager who can't make up his mind.
Another year's contract for Hodgson would be mere short termism whilst the real rebuilding job is at our doorstep.

The vast majority of managers’ jobs end up being short term hence the existence of Sporting Directors etc. The rebuild will be down to how much money the owners budget and how well it’s spent by Freedman and Steve Parish.

Roy clearly threw his hat in the ring but the club has elected to explore alternatives.

Yes, being in a relegation fight every season is such fun isn't it, I'm sure Mr Hodgson isn't that delighted with the response he's been getting from his dying players on the pitch, what would you expect from them?
