Some level of containment is the best we can hope for which demands a common approach and is another argument for us to have remained a member of the EU. How much immigration does China and Japan take, would they allow their cultures to change. Please answer honestly.

The remark of mine that you highlighted was though about globalisation and not immigration, so I don't really see the direct link. For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

The honest answer is I don't know the figures so would need to research but raw figures don't tell the whole story, do they?

Every country's circumstances are different. Their history and location makes a difference. On top of that English is the second language of so many people, so we are a natural target. Japan has much more immigration than you might imagine. They are short of lower level workers and have been quietly accepting people for quite some time. I wouldn't have thought China has had a need but as their economy is growing so fast and the birth rate declining whether that remains true is unknown.
