BTW agree that RL-C has been disappointing this season. Can't see him having a future at Chelsea so he'll end up with another PL team on loan or permanently and it might still be us, especially if Hodgson stays.

I can only see him in the team if Eze goes or is dropped. Not quite good enough when we have only 25% of possession so why spend money we might not have on him.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

RLC needs a fresh start somewhere. He hasn't impressed me playing for Fulham, but the caveat there is that their team as a whole only enjoyed a brief spell when they were playing well and getting results. Another loan to us might be a workable solution, that depends on what Chelsea do with Connor Gallagher as he's certainly of interest to us.

When he was with us I thought he combined really well with Wilf and they were a dangerous combination... wouldn’t be a bad thing if he came back on loan with a view to buying at a later stage ...

For the right price I would have him. He’s young and can come good again.

Maybe just not a player for a relegation battle.

Hes on 150k per week. We don't need those players here that has so many question marks next to his name.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

Chelsea gave him a five year deal on big bucks not long ago, so even as a loan player he is very expensive, presuming the borrowing club pays most or all of his wages. Clubs like Chelsea give nothing away. They only lent us Batshuyi once he had agreed to sign a one-year contract extension, as they wanted to preserve his value, even though he is plainly of no use to them. If the player had the bollocks he'd have said no, and sat in the stand for a year to free himself. Unless players take the bull by the horns and refuse to sign new deals, these big clubs will just own half the players in Europe, all on some s*** merry go round of loans. Chelsea have more than 30 players in other peoples firsts teams around Europe. It's a system that stops the medium and small clubs in the top flights from building up salable assets. Who exactly can Fulham and West Brom cash in on now they are down? Almost nobody, as they already belong to big clubs elsewhere. We will of course have to take a loan or two every year as we can't afford not to, but it's the same as renting a place because you can't afford to buy, then spending what you do have in time, money and energy renovating it and making it nice. A fools errand, as its not your asset, but one you just have to swallow if you're not rich enough to buy it.
