The lowest murder rates are mainly rich, affluent counties with low levels of poverty and the highest are the opposite where criminality pays and gang activity is high? Unsurprising really, what’s your point?

Oh ok, so you agree gang activity and
Crime is high from the people of the countries.
I see that violent gang culture being imported over here from people with links to those countries don't you?

Here is his Point. Kingston, Jamaica was identified by Ross Kemp as 'the murder capital of the World'. So why are we getting so many people from there moving to the UK ? Why so many broken homes & such high single mother statistics ?

How many of the London Stabbers have connections to places like this ? Look at the data and decide yourself Dan. Oh no, you dont need the data cos you have already got all the correct answers ?

He didn’t have a coherent point otherwise I wouldn’t have asked would I? You also realise that just because someone has a differing viewpoint to someone or challenges something they say because it is erroneous or misleading doesn’t mean they are trolling don’t you? Just because you don’t like being shown up doesn’t make it trolling.

You also want to know why so many people come to the U.K. from Jamaica? Perhaps a little bit of historical research might help. People have long come to the U.K. from Jamaica since the Windrush era, along with people from all over the commonwealth. The U.K. is an affluent country where you can come and make a lot more money then you can in Jamaica and people from all over the Caribbean have long come to the U.K. for work.

A lot of people that come to the U.K. often come with very little and find themselves trapped in poverty. This is what often leads to a culture of criminality, where people turn to crime to make ends meet. It is undeniable that gang culture and violence have been glamorised so that it is an attractive proposition to young kids growing up in poorer areas which is where we need real focus so that are real alternatives and to stop people getting sucked into a life of violent crime.

A serious conversation about drug decriminalisation is long overdue and avoided by successive governments as such a high percentage of violent crime can be tracked back to the illegal drug trade, turf wars and all that go with it. While the black market exists, drug gangs all the violence that go with it will also exist.

There are so many reasons as to why London has these issues, and it’s a complex problem with no easy and quick solution. As much as you all like to think you can point to a race, a nationality, an ethnicity or whatever and blame them for it it’s not that easy at all, as easy as it is for you all just to point a finger at an easy target that fits in with prejudged narrative.

It’s really not that easy, is it? Not everyone in a gang in London has emigrated here from another country have they?

So what’s your solution? Ban anyone from those countries moving here? You really think that would make the gang problem go away?

Dan H. India has lots of poverty and British connections why do you think they arnt going around stabbing everyone.

I believe its black culture, listen to the lyrics to rap and drill music.
If you have identified the problem why would you want to carry on importing people from crime & murder places of the world?

They haven't emigrated but have links or are 3rd generation.

If we do the same thing we will get the same results do you agree? Why not ban people from those countries if you agree they bring problems?

There was a school of thought that this issue with immigration back in the times of "no blacks, no irish" wasn't primarily due to race or nationality.

What happened is that you had a lot of young men in their 20's and 30's migrating for work, without families. As boys will be boys, this lead to a lot of crime and antisocial behaviour.

Similar issues have occurred when groups of young men from Eastern Europe, even antipodean have moved to the UK.

When I moved overseas in my 20's, me and the people I worked with were hardly saints. One of my colleagues described our life as being like a student, but with money, on a constant lads holiday.

The difference with Indian's is they were more likely to migrate with their families.

Drill and Grime certainly didn't exist during the Windrush so its difficult to blame it for historic problems, but the Music Execs who promote it have a lot to answer for. It could be the result of failed immigration policy.

On the other hand, Bob Marley can hardly be accused of inciting a violent culture.

What we need to do is learn from those mistakes and have a sustainable immigration policy that works for everyone.

India is 67th in the 2021 crime index and the U.K. is 65th. The figures are pretty much identical. India has the same level of problem that we do.

There are certainly issues with gang life being glamourised but the answer isn’t a blanket ban on immigration from any country with a gang problem is it?

Your ‘solution’ isn’t solving the problem. While there’s poverty and easy money to be made from selling illegal drugs there will always be violent crime, it doesn’t matter where people were born or have come from.

Will a blanket ban help to saves lives over ,say a ten year period or will it increase crime& murder.

And why isn't the answer a blanket ban? You've already agreed those countries have problem people.

don't feed the lefty troll. He will burst out crying and call you a wacist.

Oh the shame, for your outrageous belief that all the London Stabbings are predominantly from just a few cultures.

Because it doesn’t make the problem go away does it? And the negatives of a blanket ban far outweigh the positives. Also, what would be the thresholds for when a country goes on the list for a blanket ban?

I don’t think a blanket ban would have any impact whatsoever. The reasons that violent crime exist are all still prevalent.
