I remember the night in early 1977 when John Peel played this and Stretcher Case. It was shortly after seeing some very strangely dressed people hanging around The Global Village at Charing Cross. It really felt as though everything was about to change although there wasn’t a lot of punk available - from memory the next song I heard was Remote Control by The Clash.

I’d have to say, Waterfront by Simple Minds, it still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end when I get the chance to crank it up loud when I’ve got the house to myself
