Indeed. Wonderful to see. As was the wide support for the protester's actions from the SNP.

I reckon that probably led to at least 2, maybe even more, % points off support for the independence.

But let us suppose it actually increases it. And the SNP get their wish. Then England needs to build one hell of a border, from coast to coast with a Scotland whose ruling centre cheers on such law-breaking. One of the definitions of a failed state.

Serious question Dan, do you think the government should not be allowed to remove people who are here illegally?

Depends what’s making it illegal for someone to be here. If they have exhausted all avenues to stay here and are deemed to be a danger to society or have committed crimes then fine, deport them.

If they are here seeking to make a better life for themselves, are not going to be a threat or danger to anyone then absolutely not.

Always staggers me with these cases how people don’t even give a toss that these people are human beings, just like them. The citizens of Glasgow also overwhelmingly showed that they want them in their community.

People hiding being ‘law breaking’ as an excuse is pure cowardice as well. Just because something is illegal doesn’t also make it immoral. Especially with this government and it’s active hostility towards immigrants.

You’re*. For someone who dislikes immigrants your grasp of the English language is worse than most people coming here.

And it’s Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. Of course it will have the highest crime rates, that’s not a surprise.

And what’s your obsession with traveller sites?

So if millions of Indians turned up, all looking for a better life, all overstaying visas, would you want to keep them?

So if someone arrives here illegally or over stays there visa you are fine with that, good to know.

As for calling people who obey the law cowards, really?

If you don't like the law if you think it is immoral you campaign to change it. If you can't get enough votes then that is democracy and you have your answer. just because several hundred locals bullied the police and the border force that doesn't mean they speak for the country.

Do you know anything about these people Dan? No you don’t. Believe me ( and I only have 30+ years experience) deportation action such as this is only carried out as a last resort. If they are asylum seekers, they will have exhausted all avenues of appeal. If they are overstayers/working illegally, they are law breakers. So yes, they may want to have a better life ( who doesn’t) but breaking the law is not the way to go about it.
You seem to suggest that even if the courts have deemed that they have no right to be here, they should be allowed to stay, illogical

Because he’s relentless with his ill informed and poorly thought out posts pretty much always digging out either black peoples or Muslims and he’s always trying to dig me out.

Trying to read his posts sometimes is like trying to wade through treacle. For someone who is such a ‘patriot’ the first thing he should be able to do is use the language properly.

It's funny isn't it, how many don't seem to mind lawbreakers who run the country.

Thank you Glasgow, we are not all xenophobic.

Perhaps your understanding of the difference between the population size of something and the rate of something can also be highlighted here.
