Eminently forgettable game at the end of an eminently forgettable season.

This sums it up completely...
Now we can put the Roy love in to bed and move on... Todays game summed up why Roy stepping down was absolutely the right thing to do... 2-0 down and we bring on 2 defenders... Makes no sense whatsoever... But then his substitutions rarely did.

Whoever comes in has a hell of a job on their hands.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Roy after the game. "Pleased in a way that it's over, no catastrophe or disasters".

Like I said earlier happy to keep the score respectable.

I'm so Palace I don't even know it

I thought we started the game better than them and if one of the early chances had gone in it might have been interesting.

No surprise they had too much for our paceless team. The inability of Tomkins to stay injury free is another major worry for next season.

I also thought Mitchell did well against Salah.

Let's be fair if Andros had scored the one on one or his free kick hit the back of the he net or Saha had passed the farkin ball in th first attack we would be cheering todays effort rather than slating them. It's football and yes subs could have been used to better effect but we are are still up and above Brighton.

I would have snatched your arm off if offered 14th before our first game particularly after such a poor end to last season and short pre-season.

Thank god that seasons over and that lot cannot ruin my weekends for a few months.
Hodgson does deserve a bit of stick today setting the team up narrower than a bloody drainpipe against two of the best wingbacks in the league.
Amateurish tactics.

So very true, it's an end of an era under Roy and. The very best wishes to him in his retirement. We now have an opportunity to move forward and Parish et al have an awful lot to prove they are in it for the long haul rather than season to season.

A great shame that the one creative player we had
is injured. Eze just might have made a difference.

As for Mitchell - he not only had Salah to contend with but also the fast raiding Trent-Arnold. In the circumstances he did well and the experience will make him better next season.

Did I hear Jeff Stelling say that Palace were already third favourites for relegation next season?
Presumably Brentford/Swansea plus Burnley or Brighton will be the others ...

Can't wait for developments over the summer and all the new faces we are going to need.

I would certainly take 14th next season given the squad upheaval likely this summer. We are third favourites for relegation which reflects the huge task that lies ahead for the new manager.

We are 3rd favourites, the others being Norwich and Watford.

After the total s***e we have had to endure for the last four years, I would stop the team bus at Corley services in Birmingham, and say thanks Roy, but your walking home from here, bye..

Are there any videoclips of the Salah diving against Kelly situation at the end?
