Hmm Spurs and Everton in bidding war, so he's off to Everton then. Daniel Levy will not get involved in a bidding war and will try and pay us peanuts however I think if Everton see him as a key player they will pay the going rate as they did with Richarlison.

We need to know whether we can stay in this division based on merit or whether we are just Wilfred Palace .

I don't understand why Wilf would want to go to Everton. When was the last time they won anything? They are not even in the second tier Euro competition, come to think of it neither is Arsenal, so that would be another year without European competition with those two teams. His chance for a decent move has I think gone.

Don’t know if there is anything in this story anyway, the Wilf, of recent times must have big question marks over him for any prospective buyer.

I think most of us would like Wilf to stay . There's a lot of fans who are always looking for an excuse to moan at him. He's been directly involved in 1/3 of our goals this season. No club in their right mind would let him go. After the lack of ambition shown by outgoing manager its no wonder he wants to leave. He'll probably wait to see who the replacement is first.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

I don't understand why Wilf would want to go to Everton. They were reputed to be offering him £200,000 per week last time but I'm not sure whether that's true or just media rubbish. In any event who would he replace in the Everton side as I'm guessing that it wouldn't be Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison

if he stays on at Palace his heart isn't going to be in it, and he's a player who plays with heart. He doesn't want to look back on his career and wonder 'what if..', so I think it's about time he moved on in the quest of silverware or whatever it is he thinks he wants. He's been a very good servant to the club - can't begrudge him.

COYP I agree- we’ve indulged Wilf’s ego far too much imo and played him up front because he wants to improve his goal stats. Cant see Spurs or Everton or even Arsenal making the same concessions to keep him happy AND why should they! There are much better natural goal scorers with better top flight stats for that sort of money. He’s a brilliant winger (unplayable on the right - at times) and that’s part of our problem really, we’re so desperate to keep him sweet we let him play where HE wants and not where is best for the TEAM.

The Way I see it, we've made 10M profit on him already, so unless we get a decent fee so we get a decent chunk of it after ManU have taken their cut, he can stay with us for the remanider of his contract. For us, now, A sulky Wilf is better than no Wilf at all. Fwiw, I reckon he's playing with some kind of injury, which hasn't helped. We may see an invigorated, remotivated player under a new man next year.
