Bit late but Boots also does a covid- 19 home testing kit at 66 pounds.

Just looking into flying home (into the UK from Germany) at the end of June and realising what a minefield this is! So many negative reviews of Covid Testing company's not delivering on their promises - in some cases tests not arriving even after 10 days of quarantine!

I've been reading that I'll need to order a 2nd day and 8th day test kit plus an optional 5th day test-to-release. Just know it that when I pay the small fortune my flight will get cancelled, Covid rules will change etc.

I was coming from Ireland, common travel area, so no test needed to fly to the UK. I needed a PCR test within 72 hrs of return.

Flying back, I saw someone turned away as their test was on the Wednesday. So not within the 72hrs.
So,it had to be a PCR test in my case. Those need to go to the lab, there are no immediate turnarounds. I trusted the post but I would have dropped it off if at all convenient.
Ireland is giving me a free one in four days, so I can end self quarantine. Without it, I have to self quarantine for 14 days - on pain of death (1500 fine or 6 months). They really, really want me to have a test and have already texted me twice about the Indian Variant 'from the UK'!
So everything is different I'm afraid. I'm only really saying this company did what they said they'd do. Tests were 99 quid each, Missus had one too. You do it yourself and register online - that kind of thing. So I would say they can be trusted to do what they say if that helps.

This would have worked and slightly cheaper than I did. Speed was an issue for me. The results were promised within 24hrs for me and I was only over for 4 days altogether.

Yes thanks it does help to at least know that they fulfill their promises. Cheers for your advice I really appreciate it.
