I remember mate you talking about it last year, thing is, our great british farmers, the best in the world we are constantly told, have to be held to account then, why aren"t they employing local home born people to work? We are told to buy british all the time, and the british symbol, but if our great british farmers aren"t employing british people, maybe we should be holding them to account, and buying anything but british?

I totally agree, why they have to stay on site is a mystery, but if accommodation comes out of wages, this may explain it. Something to do with profit, I assume. He is happy doing his scouting for Icelandic and Danish clubs, unfortunately atm still unpaid but good on his cv. Hope all is well matey

And that's saying something.

Why would anybody from the EU come here anymore, now the hostile environment has been extended to our former friends.

I can assure you that there are still many EU nationals coming to the UK.... fact. so where you get the hostile environment from is a mystery

Although I would imagine a bit less skimming or scooping could be done though so probably not what they want. On the flip side I do hope uber drivers don't throw their toys when at Xmas they are earning £120 a day but uber are making a grand.
Can't have your cake and all that.

Uber didn’t have a choice - it was a Supreme Court ruling against them.

So more unfair competition from black taxis who are allowed to operate with preferential employment regulations.

LTDA is the black cabs. Read the post again as I mention that. They want to be self employed and Poirot isn't needed to work out the mystery why.

That"s good, if its keeping him busy, out of mischief, and possibly a way in to a nice job in these hard times whats not to like.

The drivers bought the case to court. My point is when it's good it's very good for cabbies. CP will vouch for that. When it's bad like covid times it's bad. My point about earnings they used to get still stands though. Guarantee the unions will have them on strike over Xmas bonuses they aren't contracted to get.

In this day and age what they want is irrelevant. If HMRC thought they were employed by the LTDA they would have been after them by now.

Surprising though it may seem some , a few I have met, come and live here because they like this country - inspite of poor wages and the extremely high rents. This country is still an attractive place to live for many.

Again re read. I said if the LTDA set up a cooperative or whichever it would be to employ the black cabbies and pay a wage, hols and pension. Nothing to do with HMRC.
Most cabbies if not all wouldn't want this though.
Why not I ask?

and many Brits go and live in many other EU countries. Many other EU countries are still attractive places to live. So what? It works both ways.

Who needs employment agencies? 700 illegals crossed in boats last week ... they've become a regular source of labour.

Send a few coaches down the south east coast to make regular pick ups at appointed spots. The word will soon get around.
