People are being far too judgemental of this take. I for one always hoped to see a black lesbian Dalek in Doctor Who.

Slightly off topic, but Warner Bros have sacked Henry Cavill as Superman as they want the role played by a black actor. They released the news on Cavill's birthday which was harsh. A lot of black DC fans have hit out at this (incl Michael B Jordan who was wanted for the role). This wokeism is taking over both the Marvel and DC universe. The Falcon and Winter Soldier was pc and political beyond belief (no problem with Falcon becoming Capt America, more the tone of the programme) and Dr Strange was dropped from finale of Wandavision as they didn't want "another" white male saving the day!

The films are going the way of the comics it seems. No doubt with the same result. But they must have such a war chest that they can afford a few duds before they pull it in a bit.

I don't read the comics but apparently the sales have plummented big time with the new wokeism creeping in. The Critical drinker on Youtube is quite funny as he rips into all these new films, progs etc.

I am surprised that the box office success has kept going for so long I guess at some point people will get bored and when they do Hollywood will move onto the next bandwagon.

I may be wrong but isn't Superman a fictional character from another galaxy, whereas Anne Boleyn was a real person? If so, then surely the former is "fair game' for interpretation whereas the latter isn't.
