my expectations are that for next season we have a new progressive manager who will aim to evolve our style of football, we cut loose dead wood that doesn't fit the evolving style, and make a few intelligent signings which improve our first team.

It's supposed to be your expectations and not your day dream

I dont think any of us can have any realistic expectations for next season all the time we have no manager confirmed, we dont know what the squad will look like and we dont know what new players will be coming in.
Its like predicting the outcome of a race when you dont know who is running!

Exactly....worried

I think that the starting point is we are definitely going to be relegated based on no manager and no new players and then work upwards from there as things progress. Hopefully by seasons start we will be feeling a bit happier than we currently are.

So many big decisions needing to be made.

Make a few shrewd signings, introduce some of the better youngsters, As Benteke is staying play to his strengths, and as every season, Stay up

I think a Right Back, Centre back, and Right footed winger are the three most important signings

The changes and the appointment of a new manager are key to where we may be at the end of next season. Already the way forward is being decided before a new manager has been appointed. The awarding of an extended contract to Benteke worries me for the reasons that the new manager may have a different playing style that goes more down the middle rather that rely on the old fashioned type striker that Benteke is and who is probably not suited for the modern games due to his lack of pace and anticipation. The wholesale changes being forced upon us mean that at best we must be considered as the 4th team coming up from the championship and thereby we will be at serious risk of relegation. There clearly is not going to be much cash around to splash on new proven PL players and with the Americans making no secret of the fact they want out it not looking very attractive prospect for any future manager let alone one who has a proven track record.

I have been making this point for some time both inside and outside of HOL and suffice to say it was not met with universal approval with some referring to me as an ancient Elijah of doom,a glumbucket and a gargantuan doom-monger.!

Certainly not correct by any means, only time will tell who is right, alas some similarity of out current position comes to mind with that of Charlton Ath a few years back and look where they are at this point in time!

children support teams in the top four.

Real men support teams with a ramshackle stadium and questionable finances.
