I don't really see a conflict here. I don't believe that people should be forced to have the vaccine, but I certainly think that they are unwise not to, especially if they are not young and fit. I have had my two jabs as has my wife even though we had Covid last year. Am I completely convinced about the safety of the vaccine? Do I think the balance of benefit to risk favours the vaccines? Yes. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (07 Jun 2021 11.09pm)

I very much suspect that 'Freedom Day' will be pushed back from 21 June after "Glum" and Glummer" AKA Vallance and Whitty have put the frighteners on politicians in thrall to doom-mongers.

Infections are rising they will bellow ! Yes, this was expected but the vaccines are working with deaths and hospital admissions greatly reduced.

Edited by Willo (08 Jun 2021 9.18am) The delay should only relate to ensuring that all adults have been offered the jab. After that I agree with you.

I am in agreement with Daniel Hannan who wrote : "When the roadmap was agreed, Sage published various predictions. It offered a range of five different scenarios for how many people would be in hospital by now, depending on what policies were followed and how the virus behaved. The actual number, as I write, is lower than any of the five forecasts. Since the sole justification for the restrictions was to prevent the NHS being overwhelmed, that is the measure that matters. If we abandon the timetable on the basis that some unexpectedly bad thing might happen in the future then, by definition, we are giving up on ever reopening."
