If and its a big if, palace pull this off with Nuno thats a very good appointment, far more exciting than some of the other contenders. If Nuno signs on the dotted line I can only assume hes been promised significant (for us) funds to work with. Otherwise I think he'd hold out for another job. Fingers crossed. Although we've all been hre before .. it just feels like Palace can never have nice things!

I always find that a daft comparison as you should be comparing Wolverhampton with SE25 and not the Surrey stockbroker belt. There are some beautiful places within a half hour drive of Wolverhampton and I'd guess that most managers would live in Shropshire

It would be great to get one over on a club like Everton who think they have a Devine right to whichever players and managers aren’t in the very top clubs

Wow. Very surprised if this comes off. Assumed he had Everton written all over him. Still think it's a gamble. We're a very different club to Wolves at the moment. That being said, he's a bigger draw to players than most of our recent managers and, with his Jorge Mendes connection, I can see the possible upsides too. Could be exciting anyway, though I'm not counting my chickens until I see the official account Tweet it.

Having a quick nose at a Wolves' forum there were a few posters suggesting Nuno has a large entourage who he would want with him, which if true I wonder how that fits into Parish's aim of being a proper community club. As much as I'd love Nuno, I hope Parish doesn't become distracted by the lustre of his beard and forget that we don't have £100m to spend on Portugal's finest young players. Nevertheless, my one demand would be that if he does join that we can buy those little Portuguese custard tarts at half time.

Although we've all been hre before .. it just feels like Palace can never have nice things! this is the thing - I don't really know much about Nuno the man and what he's about - but listening to the players recount their reasons for joining Palace during the Amazon documentary, it wasn't all about money. Obviously there will need to be a certain amount of money involved, but it's very possible that the entire Palace project will attract the right sort of manager, not just the money involved. We know how it ends up when money-orientated managers don't have any money to spend - they leave! Hopefully we can tap into the spirit of the Promotion-winning team and get a manager and players joining us for the project rather than the wages! Am I alone in thinking that there are still players and managers around who can buy into something like this?
