If we sell him, 25% of sale goes to Man U. Unless we find another player, that everyone else has over looked for peanuts, a replacement is going to cost £30m plus. To get that we would need to get £50m plus. Who is going to pay that? He's under contract, no one put a gun to his head to make him sign and we're not exactly flush with wingers at the moment. I'd sooner let him leave for nothing in two years time than give Man U their fine for trying to breakaway.

Honestly, I can't see anyone paying more than 40 mil for him, that sees us getting 30 mil. we can buy someone for 20 that will bed in and make a claim easy, this nonsense of only having cos pend to survive is what's ruining the game...

30 million to spend plus money saved on wages. Zaha is currently on like 120,000 a week. So we get a player on 60,000 a week. On a 5 year contract. We save around 16 million. If reinvested with the original 30 million. We have roughly 45 million to buy a zaha replacement.

Since that saving would only have been made at the end of 5 years, it would be impossible to 're-invest' it with the 30 million balance from the sale.

Has anybody else noticed the irony that Wilf is featured in the Palace headline banner for '21/22 Fixtures'? I fear a bit of Photoshopping will be needed before long.
