Well if what you claim is true (and I suspect it isn't), Steve Parish is talking garbage. There is no way on earth they would've casually thrown that in at the last second. Nuno's team has followed him everywhere, Parish & Freedman aren't morons.

A more credible suggestion would be that perhaps they threw in another staff member or two in combination with a number of other outlandish demands.

Lampard brings a `name` to Palace that does attract players and he will have a greater range of contacts etc within the game just because of who he is.

Personally I'd rather steer clear of Lampard as I just don't think we have the personnel to play his style and trying to bring in and integrate lots of new players to do so seems just too much of a stretch. And, even if we did do all that his trams are too open defensively and that is a recipe for disaster for us.

The more I read up on the 3 most likely candidates (Lampard, Cooper and Ismael) The more I feel we have personnel who would work in Ismael's style whilst it would also scratch the itch of being more attractive to watch.

I agree that Mr Parish has our club's interest and future very much at the forefront in his negotiations for Roy's replacement.

I asked the question earlier although it wasn't picked up and forgive me if I've missed it, but has he previously been ruled out or is he still potentially available?
