It is usually Root as the pillar and the others chip in, so actually quite good they have got to 258 after he went cheaply. NZ have a surplus of very good bowlers, I have a sneaky feeling about their batting line-up in this one, going for an England win as NZ bat last. Definitely a result anyway. If it's sunny today, England could be in for a long day. They need it to be overcast like yesterday.

He even scored a Test century against pakistan although any score against pakistan in those days must be suspect with all the match fixing going on

Broad has just got him, class act though. The best batsmen always seem to have the time to play a stroke.
