A lot to agree with in this post. I will disagree, slightly with the conclusion, or the way you laid out your argument to get there. He must know he's not going to get a job at Munich or PSG. He's not worked in England - but he's not even going to get a job at a Spurs. Moving to London to manage a mid-table team isn't such a bad motivating factor, if you ask me. I agree a young, up and coming, would be ideal but we'd need to take a risk on lesser experience. Doesn't seem like the parlous state of the squad would make that a good decision. And of course they would leave when a better offer comes. Separately, I do hope we are looking outside of the UK as there doesn't seem to be a huge talent pool right now. Also klopp and numerous others have managed the cultural transition.

No one else has managed to achieve anything with Forrest or Bolton since either. Seems we have a culture which has allowed several average managers to succeed. Where as Pulis, Pardew, and Allardyce have all failed at West Brom, for example. Imagine how good we could be if we get a decent manager.
