Just like chatting up a girl you do all the hard work then a mate comes along and walks off with her. It seems to be the Palace way agree a contract with a player then West Ham hove into sight and say yeah that'll do come to us. We will get a manager at some point whether they are any good...

With a preseason and some investment he would at least keep us in the premier league. Getting an inexperienced manager in too late into preseason would be a big ask for them to find their feet. Ho hum
