If true, will this be something to regret?

I said last season Brighton were one decent striker away from being a good team, this could be their missing piece if we're not in the mix

We aren't going to spend £40m on a player. So that answers the original question.

Edouard could be a prudent signing or turn out to be another Sorloth...I'm no expert on Scottish football but how strong is their league in comparison to leagues in Europe ?

I'm more interested in us signing him now that Brighton are purportedly interested, but I think that's clouding my judgement !

I don't think we are pursuing either option and I don't want to get into a bidding war with the Weed.

Couldn't we just buy him anyway, then 'loan' him to the weed?

Abraham is an excellent player. Wages and price sky high yes- but could we really not do a loan deal??

Probably not as I believe Chelsea want to sell him to raise funds.

Is Bats available he would fit quite well in the new set up.

Not going to get goals are we, again.

Bournemouth 5-3 Zaha and Bats worked really well.

Bats didn't gel with RH this time but it doesn't mean he is not a world class player as his Belgium record shows.

Imo we need the 40 million for 3 more additions to make us competitive.

And we appear to want to loan another Chelsea player and can't loan 2.

A Bats type would feed off these extra chances, we are looking to make. Not sure he would fit our financial position now. And I’m not convinced we have the right people yet to create these chances in quantity in the Premier,. I still wait to see how we cover the obvious gaps in the squad as it could easily cost 40 mill to do it adequately .
