I think red cards in friendlies are so pointless. It’s all about practise and fitness. 30 mins down to 10 men you may as well call the game and start again ffs. I’m sure if you asked Reading they would prefer to play 11 vs 11 but I suppose rules are rules. Just a shame we can’t bring on a sub for red carded players in friendlies.

I agree that red cards in friendlies are counterproductive but if its serious foul play then that's different. I don't mind Palace getting some practice with ten men, but what a shame for Kirby.

At best it was a yellow. No one, not even reading players or fans caused uproar at the challenge so it wasn't heinous or controversial as a talking... The latter only came into play with the ref's decision smh

The ref does seem to be having a rubbish game. Kouyate was our best player up till then. Well, now we can practice playing with 10 men...
