As for my favourite, has to be John Salako at Notts Forest, FA Cup 1991. I went to this game too and why I loved it so much was because I had travelled there week before only for game to be called off as I reached Nottingham, and that was the second postponement! When we finally played it made the long journeys worth every minute! Found a clip:

oh happy days...

@Palace 1979 I remember that too a great goal by Salako from the half way line seemed to take forever to land in! I went up the week before too the fog came down on the Trent an hour before the KO and game off I had bunked school for the day so every cloud. A lovely volley by Wrighty for our first goal too. Again beat a very good Forest side with Keane and Pearce in his prime!

Not the most important goal, but still my favourite.

Don Rogers, our 5th v Man Utd in that 5-0 win

Who remembers the Freddie Sears one at Bristol City? I was at that game too! It has to be the worst decision I have ever seen:

Yeah, thats it. What about that eastern european chap, name began with R, scored two crackers in the league cup i think away at Wolves or Leicester, two stunners in the same game.

Jim Cannon v Ipswich at Selhurst in 79.
Sadly no footage is available due to an industrial dispute with TV stations.

I was behind the goal at the Whitehorse lane end that game and mine were amongst the first hands in the air in celebration because I was in line with the flight of the ball and could see it was gping in. It was the day we reached the summit of the top division with a 4-1 victory over a decent Ipswich side.

mine too, though my Dad took us home before the end so I missed it live, and Brian Moore setting up the coup de grace with the immortal words 'this could be this club's greatest afternoon'.

I loved Nicola Ventola putting us 2-1 up at home to Saints in 2005 in our last home match. he got mobbed by the players and the whole crowd burst into 'Lad Donna E Mobile' to his name. danny higginbottom equalised so we had to win at charlton the week after to stay up and we didn't of course

Hopkins must be up there for the sheer importance and timing, great goal to. Have to say all at the semi final v Liverpool, that was a magical day out, Andy Grays? Townsends at city must the actual best goal ever scored technically, he was robbed for the goal of season by Lineker etc. The goal that never was, Clive Allen-at Coventry, ball went in from a 30 yard free kick, in to back of net, came out I think, and game played on? He can also take some credit for the best spontaneous pitch invasion in the Fa cup quarter final at loftus road , celebrating qpr goal in front of 5000 palace fans after running the length of the pitch .That Cannon night in 79 in front of 52, 000 at selhurst was special to be fair!

We were right in that corner where the ball flew in and hit the stantion, such a great strike, I still remember the shock and disbelief it wasn’t given and we said all season that was a kick in the teeth we never recovered from.

I remember Jim Scott scoring a goal.

Amazing because he was so useless.
