So the Taliban have the balls to fight.

But everybody else doesn't.

Oh there is so much there in that mindset.

What is it.....

'Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.'

Maybe the reason the Taliban are winning is that most people support them to some degree?

Outside of the cities certainly.

People fight if it's in their interest to fight, in other words who's financially paying you the most.

Once the west goes so does the money....everyone sensible knew what would be next.

That's pathetic Dan.

I was born with sight in one eye, which kept me out yet here we have the 'progressive' mocking someone's born disability. You're just a fake aren't you Dan.....it's your feelings rather than principles isn't it mate.

Yeah Dan, I'd fight for my children not to be raised Muslim.....you're damn right.

Keep kneeling.

That feels like a pretty low, bitchy comment to me.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

When you mock people for running away from the Taliban you hold yourself up for ridicule.

He’s literally sitting in Cambridgeshire with tins of food scared of the end game and is actually trying to belittle innocent Afghans running away from heavily armed and organised militants.

The fake macho bullsh*t knows no ends. It’s like Ian Beale in warpaint.

And? There are lots of people that say things and have views that I do not subscribe to and vehemently disagree with, but I would not belittle them for their colour, sexuality or disability etc.
Just my view.

Where did I mock people?

However, why should I be ridiculed for saying that people should fight for their own country?

The Afghan army was and is much more supplied and on paper has greater numbers than the Taliban.

You're talking out of your backside. This is about will. Like Badger said, the Taliban have large scale support and the number against them prepared to fight without a pay packet is relatively low. The few who care enough will once against become the Northern Alliance when the government falls.

As for me, I do have beliefs I've actually stood up for and suffered for as a consequence. I've never said I'm 'macho',.....that's probably you just projecting your male inadequacies.....Like I said, your comments show that's it's about feelings rather than principles and your 'progressivism' is skin deep.

Fake and looking for others to live his principles.

Asylum seakers don’t have to stay in the first safe country.

No but many do, if you were genuinely fleeing for your life, you would. Look at the refugee camps in Turkey. Personally I would not leave my wife and kids behind, would you? Because many of these migrants do, so not safe for the men but ok for women and children! Absolute b***ocks. I cannot state enough that the majority coming over the Channel are not Afghans. I will try to get a break down of those arriving at the weekend and let you know.
This may not suit your agenda but the vast majority are economic migrants. Can we continue to take an inordinate amount?

There is definitely a tragedy with the Afghan story that I would blame the west for......and that's from ignorance of history and a refusal to learn from it. The guilt isn't ours as a people it's squarely with the Bush and Blair administrations and the institutional leaders who kept pushing their madness long after it was clear it wouldn't work.....because at the end of the day it's about paying the mortgage....perhaps I should be less critical of them, because the buck really should stop at the top.

Those administrations are responsible from all the avoidable deaths associated with trying to turn that country into a democracy. Both our own soldiers and civilians killed caught up in our fighting.

Vietnam showed that the west isn't prepared to suffer the cost, both in military deaths and economics to do what is necessary to win a war and change a country....and to be fair to the US, they actually really tried for six or seven years.

Personally I accepted the blood price of killing anyone we knew was associated with enabling 9/11. But that should have been a significant and bloody retaliation, not an occupation....you offer them peace for peace based upon leaving each other alone.

Perhaps it's a good thing the west aren't prepared to pay the cost of converting a country into a democracy...even if you ignore the ethical part of that. Because the reality is that putting down revolts can't be done in a pretty fashion. Russia in Syria showed that western democracies aren't prepared to do the dirty work but they were.

So it comes down to disney land ideology....Politicians and leaders believing that a very culturally different people would accept 'western values' pushed onto them at a time in their evolution where the infrastructure and westernized numbers clearly wasn't there.

So the 'little people' suffer for their irrational grand designs.

Different day, same s***e.
