Maybe wages issue or he is waiting for the right club

Not at all surprised. I'm amazed the club even thought about giving him another contract. He's far too slow, unfortunately. The game v Chelski last year surely shows he's not PL anymore.

You forget Brighton away but for him we would have lost, brave and heroic performance.

I would of liked to see him stay in a coaching role even a joint maybe player/coach and retire at end of this season from senior football.

I expect he left because of SP keep trying to decrease the money and with them bringing in so many CB Cahill is not the sort to just happily sit on the bench.

No one has picked him up for one simple reason he had stated before signing for Palace he wants to stay around London this limits his options in Prem.

It was. He was recovering during the interview afterwards.

To the bright lights of Leyton it is!

Gary Cahill is set for a Bournemouth medical today.

The 35-year-old defender, who has won the Champions League and Premier League twice, has agreed to join Bournemouth after the club offered him a one-year deal two weeks ago.

I think, if he keeps fit, he will be outstanding in the Championship. I thought he was a very good signing for Palace and he could tell he had class. Unfortunately injuries caught up with him and probably didn’t have another PL season left in him. Always happy to talk and sign autographs for fans, nice bloke. I wish him well

No disrespect to Gary, but the fact that he had no other prem offers shows that the board were likely right to let him go.

I remember I was so miffed when we signed him, but ended up eating my words, was still a great, great player, and is even now.

Cant really argue with that - the market determines the level of interest

Wow, we must not have fancied him one little bit if Bournemouth's one-season offer in the Championship was superior to whatever Parish came up with, if anything.

Maybe it wasn't superior. And when he found that that was all he was going to get, he came back to Parish like the prodigal son, but unlike the latter was so far from being welcomed back that he was told to sling his hook.
