Club sent me a questionnaire this afternoon, sadly scored them 1 out of 10 in so many areas.

By all means have smartphone tickets alongside cards - the tech savvy will be happy to have a more modern option, but don't make the fans (or are we just customers these days?) feel like we are a nuisance if we don't have a modern phone or a printer

And the queues would have been shorter if the stewards hadn't blocked off half the turnstiles by standing in the way.

Not that I have much faith that the stewards could efficiently help the % of people who had issues anyway

That would be a sensible compromise, and as time went by no doubt the digital system would take over .

Speaking from my own experience yesterday using my phone it was very simple. I arrived at 2:15, no queue, showed NHS covid pass, scanned match ticket, walked straight in, whole process took 30 seconds.

Covid Pass?
The club issued an official statement stating that at present its not a requirement, no need to show and hard to believe that you would be asked.

I paid with cash to the programme seller on the corner of Holmesdale Road.
They do accept card but also cash as long as not a £20 note.

We got down there a bit early and for entrance 9 of the main stand (our standard entrance) there was no queue at all. The e-tickets were straight forward, just plonked them into the same hole that the cards went into.

I can imagine if you don't have a smart phone and / or a printer it's much more of a hassle though. They should definitely allow both methods of entry.

George, please, please, your last sentence, it conjours up so many replies from numerous posters on here, who, maybe not so polite as I have(this time)

I don't know whether this will come as news to anyone, but I emailed Customer.Service@cpfc.co.uk on Monday to ask about future arrangements, and this morning received this reply: "an announcement will be made over the coming days, but rest assured if you are not a current smartphone owner you will not be required to purchase one."

Thanks for sharing this. That’s good to know.

I filled in the survey they sent out but haven’t sent an email yet.

Long time lurker of the message board but a season ticket holder for 20+ years but felt I had to sign up and speak up for the many disabled and elderly loyal supporters who frequently have no voice and ignored and being treated abysmally by the club they have supported all their lives.
Firstly this new ticket arrangement is no bother to me as I have a smartphone ,e-mail so no problems entering the ground.
But..
I have a couple of elderly neighbours in my road who have disabled sons and daughters who have season ticket holders for many many years and were unable to attend the Brentford game due to these new ticket arrangements & they certainly have no smartphones or knowledge of e-mails.
What about them...
When they purchased their season tickets they were certainly not informed of this new arrangement for season ticket holders.
Does the club not realise they are in breach of firstly the trade descriptions act1968 which deals with the mis description of goods in general and its particular job is to ensure that organisations/people tell the truth about GOODS ,PRICES AND SERVICES.
They are also in breach of the Equalities Act 2010
Where it is unlawful for service providers to treat disabled people less favourably for a reason related to their disability.
Service providers have had to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people such as providing EXTRA HELP or making changes to the way they provide their services.
Service providers may have to make other reasonable adjustments in relation to the physical features of their premises to overcome physical barriers to access.
I think everyone can guess who is behind this disgraceful and unjust ticketing arrangement for the most vulnerble in society and I certainly don't belive its Parish or the Premier league rules as they allude to its the Yank s_ um who only look at the balance sheet.
Someone needs to inform them this is not the USA we have laws and regulations in the UK with authorities who come down harshly on law breakers.

ANNOYED

I hope the club get to see your message.
After making sure they have our cash, they thrust this digital system on supporters, without even any consultation, and their view is like or lump it.
The plastic card season ticket suited all and should be retrained for those who prefer it.
I have a smart phone and can handle the new system, but I find it far more convenient to use a little plastic card,I don't always want to carry my phone everywhere, and there are less things to go wrong with the card.
