Even those against Brexit should hope that it's a success really, as there's little mileage or goodness in hoping that the country fails. I urge those people to view it as a 'freebie', in that if it's a success then your fears were unfounded, and if it fails and we're back with our tail between our legs then you'll get the outcome you wanted.

IMHO over the next 10-15 years the EU will be struggling if in existence at all as more countries leave. There will be push back from the net contributors against the net takers
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

I remember people stating similar things about the Euro around 20 years ago on how it's demise in the following years was clear. Well look, the Euro is alive and healthy and so is in fact the EU. Sure there are some disagreements but that's to be expected in the world's largest trading bloc made up of 27 members, to think otherwise is naive and misinformed.

I doubt if the EU would want us back as we seemed to oppose every new thing they wanted to do. In the long run I feel it's better for both parties that we went our own way. I don't expect those who voted Remain to agree but be honest whether it was Labour or Tory we always seemed to be swimming against the tide of public opinion in the EU. So unless UK voters and political parties suddenly feel an urge to become full on EU members joining the euro and abolishing borders and signing up to full integration we would just be the anchor slowing them down. I can hope it's a success, but that doesn't change the reality. There's even less value in pretending everything is fine and nothing is the fault of Brexit, which is what is happening currently. We'll never have access to the deal we had before.

Certainly not from the EU. An agreement has been signed. The 'threat' is from the UK not honouring that agreement as it has shown over the last 12 months by breaking the agreement it signed in December 2020 in various ways. Unfortunately the UK has garnered itself an international reputation for breaking agreements unilaterally, that's why the EU has to emphasise contractual obligations at every step.
