I may be shot down with this, but is there any chance he could be knackered?

His partner has recently had a baby and I wonder if he’s going through the 2am, 4am, 6am feeds etc…?

Just a theory.

If this is the problem, I suggest he sleeps in the box room, where his Mrs probably keeps all her shoes, until sprog gets it together.

Whatever the issue, I hope he gets over it. I love Wilf to bits, but that performance on Saturday was unacceptable.

This, because it's probably the only way he'll leave before summer 2023.

Give up playing football and give your money away then get a job as a labourer. Look back in 40 years time when your back is shot to pieces and your knees and shoulders are knackered and think how unhappy you were when you were 28 and got paid a fortune for doing something you enjoyed and were indulged in everything.
The key to me is that you play football - you don’t play work.

Hopefully, the advice from Vieira would be "Get on with it". I don't see Wilf's tantrums as passion, more throwing toys out of a pram. Yes, he is fouled a lot, but often it's a case of complaining about nothing - and that works against him where referees are concerned. Isn't Grealish fouled more, but we don't see the same reaction from him.We all love Wilf for his contribution to Palace, but his tantrums are immature and tedious.

Firstly stop moaning all the time especially at your team mates. You don't encourage them enough and that can breed anxiety in their game or resent to you. This isn't being a good team player and ultimately affects Crystal Palace as a team in the long run.

Your negativity and constant "me against the world" mentality isn't helping your cause (the cause being for some other club to dig deep into their pockets and try to pry you away from Palace at long last).

You are also a) not as good as you once was and b) not as good as you think you are (comparative to most players in your position at the big 6 clubs). Not better than Mane or Salah which means you will be on the bench most games at Liverpool. Not better than Sterling, Foden, Mahrez, Grealish which means you will be on the bench most games at Man City. Not better than Rashford, Sancho; Greenwood is one of their own so you won't be loved or favoured over him however you are better than James. Either way going back to United is a closed chapter. Simply put you will not get into that Chelsea squad whatsoever (they've got a second/third XI that would beat most Premier league teams including Palace). Son is better than you and arguably Moura but perhaps you have a glimmer of hope to get into Spurs current starting XI. Arsenal which you have your heart set out on is not even in Europe... But speaking to a lot of Arsenal fans I know, they are happy with Saka and feel Pepe is still hit or miss, but at least he has resale value. If Aubamayeng or Lacazette left then maybe there's an opportunity there for you again but I get the sense that, Arsenal would now only consider you if it was either a swap deal for one of their fringe players (e.g. Reiss Nelson, Maitland-Niles) + like £10m. Certainly not this window so ultimately I say this to say, accept your current reality. Unless you're Cristiano Ronaldo, then most don't get their moves when they want, go ask England Captain Harry Kane all about that.

On a positive note, I would try to reach out to ex pros and managers (eg Sir Alex Ferguson) and ask for their advice to your current predicament. You want to play for a team in Europe, well then you need to come to the realisation that this might not be a club in the Premier league and/or your wages may require a pay cut to make it happen.

Ultimately play your way into a move, but note that such move could easily be to a team in France (other than PSG but perhaps you could replace Mbappe... Stranger things have happened), a team in Portugal, Netherlands, Spain etc that qualifies for Europe regularly. The likes of Lyon, Marseille, Porto, Benfica, Sporting Lisbon, Ajax, PSV, Sevilla, Villareal come to mind and where your agent should be targeting.

Your agent should be advising you why clubs aren't willing to put up the money for you and trust me it's not simply because Palace are asking too much, which I presume that you think is the issue. Look within yourself to find the solutions too.

Take a pay cut and go to Celtic. Well take Edouard and £20m. Guaranteed European football and a league you can shine in.

I was going to say grow up and stop behaving like a petulant child, but I like your suggestion better. Mind you, I'm not sure Edouard would be the answer to our scoring problems.

Have a chat and spend time with lMikael Antonio.

Hopefully his attitude to life and football could be a positive influence on Wilf.
