Out:
Wickham
PVA
Dann
Cahill
Sakho
McCarthy
Townsend

Re-signed:
Ward (2)
Clyne (1?)
Benteke (2)

In:
Olise
Andersen
Guehi
Hughes
Edouard (maybe?)

Loan:
Gallagher

Sorry if I forgot anyone, I feel like there's at least one other player "out".

If you'd asked me in June, I don't think we'd have done nearly as well as this in the window. I'd give it an 9.0 if Edouard is signed, otherwise an 8.5.

Based on a couple of assumptions:-

- Olise is fit to play in a matter of weeks not months
- Edouard on board and Mateta let go.

Then:-

1. GKs - no change
2. Defence - stronger
3. Midfield - Definitely stronger
4. Striking - stronger

Where we're weaker (and where we've traditionally been reliant) is in the wide areas. We haven't really replaced PVA or Townsend which reduces a lot of our threat down the left and right.

If we can secure one more quality signing (maybe a loan?), either as an attacking full-back or an out and out winger, I think this window will have been as good as we could have hoped for and quite a bit better than most would have expected.

And I quite like the cut of PV's jib as well.

9 out of 10, if all happens as predicted, i am hoping there may be a surprise loaned winger we don't know about to take it to 10

As it stands we are at least three short , proven strong attacking full back, winger or wide player and proven AJ type striker and especially the latter as Benteke is not the one to deliver the goals we are missing😀

Can't judge it until it and the loan deadline have passed, as one impacts the other. I'm sure there are perm and loan signings that we're pursuing and potentially some we wanted to sign may end up being a loan if we can't sort all terms.

I’d rate it 5 purely on the basis that our squad is now smaller we have no cover at left back and no replacement for Andros

It’s been a very good window. The but, is it had to be, as we had reduced the squad by so many.
As some say we still could use a bit more cover in the fullbacks and a fully right sided attacker, but on the whole the quality in the squad has improved. The worry for me was, where would the money come from, ? Well it came from somewhere, and well spent . Add to that what could well be a brilliant coaching set up and things look really good.

Football's a funny old game, innit? The likes of us Palace fans expect the money to "come from somewhere", and we are quite happy when it does so. But what we despise are clubs that have much more money than us - money which also "came from somewhere".

I was glancing at Twitter when Man City signed Grealish and there were numerous Man Utd fans (well, pretend fans) slagging off City because of the amount of money they've got to hand and the fact that it comes from a dodgy source (ie something to do with oil). Ergo Man Utd fans are quite happy with obscene amounts of cash to splash out on players, provided it's their club that has it and not someone else's.
