Eddie may just be the bite that galvanises our forward play into regular goals.

It's been photoshopped, there's a very faint square around his head that's slightly lighter than the background colour. Weird that somebody would both to do that.

From the footage available on Edouard he looks to be a good finisher with either foot, often lifting the ball over the keeper as he goes to ground.
There’s a lack of headed goals and no evidence of searing pace, but this may not be so significant if he takes up the right positions in the penalty area to finish chances.
We’ve been crying out for a reliable finisher.

Unfortunately his finishing has become very sloppy, almost lackadaisical. Hope we can sort out his poor attitude.

I’m still convinced that Nketiah would have been a better option. Really hope I’m proved wrong.

Difficult for me to answer this one rednblueblood.

I have a family member who knows someone who SEEMS to be close to the club. I don't know who this person is but so far the information I've received via my family member over recent months has been pretty reliable.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but I'll continue to post what I can.

I understand from this source that Edouard is NOT the last bit of business we're hoping to do this window but I don't know who else we're hoping to get across the line. I have been told, though, that it will be difficult to achieve so may not actually happen. We can but wait and see.

Unfortunately Arsenal seem to be on another planet when it comes to valuing transfers whether inwards or outwards.

What's to say we don't get him for free next summer (subject to any tribunal fee) ?

I don't think Mateta has a future with us beyond this season, and next Summer Benteke would only have 1 year left on his contract.

Unless an academy player comes through, we'd need to go out into the market again anyways so let's see

As I spelt out in a longer post earlier, I take completely the opposite view (though I respect yours). To me, Nketiah is nothing more than promise (at best); one of the numerous youngsters whose reputation is hyped because they play for a big club. He hasn't made it at Arsenal. He's not really made it elsewhere (on loan). There has to be a reason for that. And even if he is promising, £20 million is a joke for a player who has thus far proved only that he hasn't been good enough to make the breakthrough.

Edouard, on the other hand, is a proven quantity. Yes, he's been a head case for various reasons for the past eighteen months and I am not saying we should forget about that but whatever the league, he has a history of scoring goals for fun in a professional league. His pedigree is on a different planet to Nketiah. If Edouard come to Palace committed to being the player we know he is at his best, there is simply no comparison between the two. And I don't think there can be much doubt that if he comes here, his head will immediately be in a different place than it has been at Celtic.
