Fake Certs are two a penny. I have genuine ones and had to travel to various countries over the summer for family reasons (plus I was focking bored with lockdown Ireland). Although I went to countries with restrictions and have all genuine Certs, jabs, tests etc, I needn't have bothered. Nothing was checked.
The most rigorous check I had, was police at customs in England (which I know, sounds unbelievable anyone was at customs in England). They just looked at my reason for travel - which was a typed letter. It was genuine but I could have just typed and printed it on Word just the same.

Legally it is the responsibility of the airlines to check documentation not BF. I would be surprised if it was the Police at Customs, do you mean Passport Control? Which means they were probably BF ( and in customs) unless Police were looking for a specific traveller. You are correct fake certificates have been seen for many months

Over here, it's about to be mandatory to show evidence of double jabs even going to a supermarket, or get a PCR test just to buy your groceries.

In Australia you have to scan a qr code and wear a mask to go in every shop or enclosed place. $2000 fine if not and the police do spot checks inside the premises. Hmg are clearly a lot less prohibitive than that.

Genuinely the police, no idea why. I haven't had airlines check anything. A Ryannair guy did ask for a cursory glance at passenger locator forms (required for Ireland) in Denmark. But it was not matched up to anything: was just a guy walking around looking at phones.
As I say, only actual look at documents was the Police in London in May. Even then, was not thorough, more a nod and a wink. Could have showed them a screenshot, no problem. Frankly, every system I've seen is a joke. I've never had the QR code scanned, for example. Perhaps someone else has?
My passport has been checked, mainly because I've the cool new Navy one. Will have to sort my Irish one, so I don't get a stamp each time, which is a bit of fun but annoying when the rest of the family can use the EU queue. So not long and I'll be a true paddy.

My feeling is that if proof of vaccine jabs is going to be compulsory for supporters then it behoves all players to get vaccinated as well.

Only 3 PL clubs have revealed the percentage of jabs in their squad (ranging from 80 to 100%) and so one suspects that the take up in the other 17 clubs might be low (including Palace)

It is reported that Xhaka has tested positive after refusing a jab.

PL players on exhorbitant wages should show some responsibility and set an example.

Not quite sure, how the amount of wages somebody earns, can be used as setting an example.
People have a choice to get vaccinated or not, if they don’t they can’t complain, if some establishments require proof of vaccination before entry. The majority see it as a responsible thing to do, to stop the spread of the virus.

As a matter of interest we’re you travelling from Ireland? If so, Police are normally present as it is Common Travel Area and therefore no other agencies present.
The fact airlines have not checked them, shows what they think of the system.

seems perfectly fair to me

I made an informed decision to not be vaccinated. why should i not be allowed? it does not affect you or anyone else whether i am or not.

I have been to the brentford, watford and west ham game and was at a music festical in victoria park on monday. Today i have just had a pcr test to fly and is negative.

There should be mandatory test for everyone to enter the stadium vaccinated or not. Vaccinated people are the super spreaders to be honest.

Tests are better than nothing but not perfect, the same can be said for vaccinations no doubt. Part of your 'informed decision' though will of course come with the knowledge that you 'are' more likely to contract it and pass it on, so saying it does not affect others isn't true.

Also, as it sounds like you're going everywhere humanly possible (not as though I blame you) you're pretty much a covid case waiting to happen, so by that fact I'm not sure how you deduce that "Vaccinated people are the super spreaders to be honest."

I'm of the view that the case is out of the bag and that you should be able to attend without being vaccinated, but in taking the decisions we do, we should not always seem to distort the decisions people make in the opposite direction, especially when here they are clearly the more responsible choices.
