Been at a wedding all day. Can’t believe I missed today.
Was so confident we’d get something today. Had a bullseye on us to win.
2nd favourites to get relegated? F*ck off.
Need to be looking up the table now.

Nice one.what were the odds ? 3-1 to win? We are 14-1 to win at liverpool and 6/7-1 draw.

You can see most weeks what Lineker and Shearer think of him, and i think they know a bit about strikers

Probably best to just let our manager pick who he thinks is best, he sees them all week, and it worked today!

Olise looked good for the limited period he was on today and I am intrigued to see how good Ferguson is, if he ever plays, after 2 years without a game, he may be a total flop. Possibly without ever seeing him play, many on here are still planning on him replacing Joel who was NOT a weak link today but he will need to prove that he is good enough.

To be fair that does seem to be the reason why the club signed him.

What a game and result. Irrespective of Spuds absentees, we bossed the game. I thought Gallagher and Zaha were class. Edouard is a great signing as is Olise. Edouard will get us goals.

Yeah I feel sorry for them having to throw in a defender who cost £26 million.

He didn't play fantastically at all, Viera is just trying to keep his confidence up, his movement was awful as usual

So you could see that from Lanzarotte could you? I thought he had a good game, held the ball well and linked the play. He didn’t really have the quality of cross he thrives on.

On attending the game - no but watched live on BT Sport as I’m sure a lot of others did on here..!!

But you did apparently all the way from Cornwall - good effort and hats off to you..!!

Firstly - great performance - what really made me smile was all the focus on the players Spurs had missing - hold on we hardly had our best starting XI - no Ferguson/Clyne, Schlupp, Milo, Hughes, Eze, Olise or Edouard - albeit the latter did come on and score 2..!!

So both teams under strength if all players fit and available - so that’s that bit cleared up..!!

For me difference today was the defence - what a difference Guehi and Andersen make - they have pace and can play - whereas last season we were so slow and didn’t have the ability to play out from the back and that put so much strain on the team and then the style we could play..!!

Additionally PV is a lot more attack minded than RH - same scenario last season would have been 0-0 at best - we all remember Villa away - lost 3-0..!!

On Ward - he’s been a great servant but today proved even if it still needed to be proved that he just ain’t good enough at this level and certainly not with the class and quality we have in the squad - he’s just a weak link, out of his depth and it stands out like a sore thumb..!!

Same can be said of Ayew - don’t get me started, can’t control the ball - next touch is a tackle, can’t cross and can’t shoot - what exactly can he do/does he bring to the team..!!!

Both Ward and Ayew IMO were the worst Palace players on the pitch today - and that’s a problem because that’s our entire right flank and the better teams will/would exploit that..!!

Fortunately we have players coming back to fitness that will mean neither will play - in the fullness of time when everyone is fit and available doubt either one will even make the bench..!!

All that said great performance, great result let’s celebrate - enjoy your Saturday nights all..!!

Come on Vieira and COYP...!!

Nonsense. Wardy was very, very good today. He is still a very good player.

I am not a fan of Ayew; cheats too much with his diving. However, was very good today.

I feel your bias and dislike is blinding you.

Excellent game and a just score line.

Mate with Ayew he was the worst Palace player on the pitch..!!

Did you actually watch the game..??

If you did seriously suggest you need to take those rose coloured Ward glasses off..!!

COYP

We’re you drunk before the final whistle. You are I am afraid, on this match, talking rubbish. Stop it.

Two things.

1. With our best result in ages why split hairs and engage in slanging matches over opposing views about one of our players ? Don't slag off - celebrate for goodness sake !

2. After this match I trust the long held view by many that Jon Moss is Clattenburg personified may now be laid to rest. He, like Palace, had a good game.

Hmmm...I thought he let Alli get away with too many fouls without showing him a yellow. Then he clearly decided he was going to give Loris a free kick at a Palace corner, and duly did so even though the keeper was flattened by his own team-mate. Both of these I commented on during the game. Also the two-handed push on Zaha to stop him getting away - effectively a rugby tackle - merited a straight red card in my view. Even if it was only a yellow, a red
(ie a second yellow) should have followed for the argy-bargy with Zaha. But no doubt Tottenham fans will also highlight decisions that they weren't happy with.

An absolutely fantastic performance and result today. I can't remember the last time we dominated a 'top team' (if you want to call Spurs that) from pretty much start to finish.
Could Edouard be the striker we need? Guehi and Andersen look like the best centre back partnership we've had since the early 90s. We don't even have Eze back, and Hughes and Olise still have to come into the fold.
Still the talk about Ward. Let's see by January. If we are flying high, say top 10, we do need to invest in a younger more attacking right back. Ward has done everything he can for us, but time is not on his side. When he gets the ball, he simply has no skill he just passes it to the nearest person. That's fine, but we won't achieve anything carrying a passenger like that at the top end of the table.
However let's not dwell on that, I'm very interested to see how we handle Liverpool at Anfield next weekend!

They’ll get picked off by big teams if we stay consistent. It’s the nature of things, but we know that. That’s why we’re doing it this way. Because it’s the sustainable way of doing things. Plus Gallagher isn’t ours so next summer there’s a position to fill if Chelsea or someone bigger wants him. This is the frustration of football unfortunately. But I prefer this to dull football or in the championship.

As long as they're on decent length contracts Palace should be making a sizeable profit on all of them. And if the scouting network manages to repeat what it managed this summer they'll find more diamonds in the rough. But let's enjoy this team while we have them. If they can get us a trip to Europe before they all get sold off I'll be happy.
