She's Romanian and Chinese decent with a very non-white complexion. Where are the pair that are always touting 'Englishness'? Why haven't they come on this thread supporting this young hard working eastern European/Chinese girl who is flying the British flag?

I only looked at the thread today, also I'm not particularly interested in tennis and haven't even followed the story.

I've kind of tackled this area extensively.

Quite right becky. I almost regret starting the thread which I intended for discussion about this young girl's tennis prowess.

Some of the recent posts have been totally inappropriate.

Indeed they have but it was absolutely the right thread to start. This girl is an inspiration to every youngster and every immigrant of just what can be achieved - what is possible and what support they’ll get from the great British public.
I really hope she wins and we should be so proud of her.

Have you really ? Yet you still can't bring yourself to make a small nod of congratulations to a young British girl winning a major tennis tournament in the US.

Bravo.

Great game, she is going to be a legend, in gb,Romania,China and Canada! Got $2.5 million cheque, big bucks. Nice girl so good luck to her, great to watch, I think it is better than the mens game, more rallys, this girl is tipped to be gb"s biggest sports earner in years to come, fair play. Its a bit like a non league club actually winning the fa cup!
