"A US court will hold a pre-trial conference today in the civil suit filed by a woman who claims Prince Andrew sexually assaulted her.

The hearing, which will take place in New York City, will look at whether Virginia Giuffre's legal team has done enough to deliver papers regarding the civil lawsuit to the Duke of York.

Ms Giuffre's lawyers have said the documents were handed to a Metropolitan Police officer on duty at the main gates of Andrew's home in Windsor Great Park on 27 August.

But Blackfords, a law firm that represents the prince "in certain UK matters", has questioned whether the papers were properly served.

They have also indicated a possible challenge to the court's jurisdiction in the case, according to a 6 September letter referenced in court documents filed by Ms Giuffre's lawyers.

Judge Lewis Kaplan of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York will decide whether the efforts to present the prince with the papers were enough or whether more is required." (Yahoo)

It manages it. Frankly I pay my taxes and keep what's left. Its not my job to tell hmg how to spend it. I got seen at the hospital, eventually I can see a doctor, the street lights work and the streets are relatively safe. Why would I be bothered about hrh, they get a slice and do with what they need. There are bigger takers than hrh on the hmg payroll! Maybe that's where you need to aim.

Perhaps you are just a forgiving kind of guy, its ok for a peado to ply his trade, as long as its not anybody you know? And the fact you were paying for his private island carribean holidays to do this is very generous indeed! But I do get you, long as you pay your bills, see a doc(thats the bit I was questioning as I went in the medical walk in by the flyover and was told it would be a 4-5 wait, I said blimey, I will pop back at 4pm then! The lady said, 4-5 weeks!). That was the walk in place. Guess you don"t mind these refugees/asylum seekers landing on our shores mate, long as the lights are on! Fair play mate, fair play!

Thanks for the update Forest, his royal highness is on the phone to said judge, just to see if we can smooth this unfortunate incident over in some way.

Look at my post on the French stopping immigrants and you will see where I stand about your last line. As for the peodo line I beleive he is still innocent!
Hope you never get nicked as accusations can stick.

Ring 111 it's quicker by far. Had an infection from an insect bite a couple weeks ago. Hour and a half on phone to doctor in a queue, at the same time rang 111 and within 20 minutes I was assessed and given a hospital appointment for an hour later. Lucky really as needed antibiotics quite quickly. Doctor even got me to stop my RA pills so immune system wasn't compromised whilst taking the antibiotics. Irony being that 111 even knew there wernt any appointments available with my doctor!!!

It will either be the prosecuting lawyers asking where/when is a convenient time to deliver the papers, or the judge progressing the legal procedure, else ",..and which secure payment facility would Sir like to use ?"

Yes, i"m thinking randy might go for the second option, he doesn"t want to take up court time after all, leave that for criminals.

Good effort oldy, perhaps only half way up should have a 50% discount on the fine or time served .

DoY's legal team seems to be conducting a rather tenuous 'defence'.
"Andrew Brettler told a pre-trial conference call in New York that a 2009 settlement between Virginia Giuffre and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein released the duke from "any and all liability"." (BBC)

Not sure about US law, but in the UK an illegal contract is useless. So what the DoY's legal team are saying, is because some settlement may have been reached with Epstein, this means that the Duke cannot have a civil case brought against him for statutory rape. in the UK this would be thrown out.

Regardless of the delaying tactics of whether papers were served,....this case will proceed.
