I don’t think Benteke would have scored either of those two goals,. Whereas Edouard looks like a natural goal scorer. With both shots he didn’t get a good clean connection but both finished up in the back of the net, something that the top scores just seem to be able to do and find that half yard of space when needed.

A) there’s no way of knowing that.
B) Benteke can score goals in the air that few other strikers in the world can.

It will certainly be very interesting to see how they both get on for the remainder of the season.

He heads it over the bar more than most other strikers in the world.

I read the Evening Standard on the tube this evening. A whole article on Tottenham’s problems. We didn’t even get half a compliment. Awful, biased and nasty journalism.

This might be wishful thinking but one thing about Edouard coming from Celtic is that he may find it a bit easier to find space since most teams he’s been playing against have usually had as many men behind the ball as possible. His goals were typical of how he plays - trying to place the ball rather than blast it.
Another part of Edouard’s game is that he’s pretty good at laying the ball off which should help our new midfield combinations run on to it. Looking forward to seeing Hughes alongside Gallagher too - they should be a high energy pairing.

Well he may have to be patient. McArthur is playing out of his skin at the moment too, plus Luka looked mustard when he came on. No way in for Hughes at the moment.

When your phone dies and you have nothing to read, what do you do?

What is candy crush? Sounds like a diabetes guarantee

Any rag outlining another club's problems is fine by me.

We don't get the ES this far out, but I imagine one of their biggest problems is their manager - the one who might have been in the home dug-out on Saturday.

It's some moronic game ("video game" as us oldies call it). Whenever I use the tube I can guarantee that at least one person in my close vicinity will be playing it. I watch them getting frustrated at (presumably) not getting to the next level or getting aggy if someone or something interrupts their flow and I think, "why don't you do something to broaden your mind a bit? Like read a book...or a poem...or just meditate!"

Or do something creative, like knitting.

Good description YT. Like it.
