Ha, yes, race to the bottom indeed! Having a load of untrained people watching movies on their phone ,driving big wagons for the first time is going to be intertesting to say the least!

I doubt it will be first year drivers.
If you find the criteria maybe you can post it. Just to put a little meat on the bone so to speak. The driver issue is worldwide if you research it; not all countries had brexit either, unless little old blighty really is that powerful!

Something strange about people gloating at any perceived misfortune to the nation. I asked a couple of people in UK to look at their local supermarkets, one in UK , one in the North. Try as they might to find emptiness the shelves were full of the usual stuff.

Has the North become independent then?

We have too may people, especially in the media, who love nothing more than doing down their own country.
It is like a sport to them.
Take MP's when the Brexit vote didn't go their way - did they say they would do their best to make it work for the good of the Country or did they do everything to destroy the Country to justify their beliefs - hmm - let me think!

In her annual state of the union Ursula Von Der Leyen has called for an EU military force Macron will host a conference next year to plan the details.

Glad we have left.

It will all come out soon enough, when boris makes his mind up , then changes it, returns to it, and tweeks it. Then you just get your keys and start rolling! Not sure they have the food shortages in europe like we have, although they are better connected you could say. They certainly got enough willing people to pick fruit and veg when it needs picking, our farmers are between 15-30 down , according to someone on the radio yesterday, and chucking good food out, thats brexit , bad planning, nothing to do with drivers.

Going back 30 years food has always been dumped. Don't you remember the wheat mountains that were chucked. Its not really that unusual; trying to blame brexit without research on historical events is a bit of a cop out!

Surely that’s obvious

Whether food has or hasn’t always been dumped is irrelevant

Causality is relevant - what May have caused it 30 years ago might not be what is causing it now. What is also relevant is whether said food would have been dumped regardless, which doesn’t seem to be the case.

Simply countering with ‘well X has always happened so what’s your point’ is a bit lazy.

‘Murder rate goes up, in part due to lack of police funding’ - ‘Well murder has always happened so what’s your point’.

Riiiiight

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

If tomatoes are going to be destroyed because of a lack of pickers, why not send down fit currently out of work people to pick them ?

Provide transport and let them have the dignity of working.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
