Moderna are developing a single-dose booster shot for Covid and flu. I expect we'll be seeing more of this, and it being rolled into a single jab (largely for the elderly and immune compromised) making it less of an 'event' than getting a the jab currently is. The government are ramping up the BS in the build up to October & November. More predictions and ‘scenarios’ of wild guesses and wide ranges of numbers in hospital and threats of masks returning. And that’s after ruling out a lockdown while not ruling out a lockdown in the same sentence. Half or more will ignore this rubbish and carry on behind closed doors.

Make sure you get your flu jabs this year! I caught a common cold for the first time in ages and it was aggressive. Don't want to know what getting flu could be like with diminished immunity. COVID will be more of a capacity problem this winter rather than a serious health issue like last time around, but flu could push the NHS over the edge. I think the 'regular' ailments will be the problem this winter, much less COVID.

But lot's of marketing focused on younger people too... and with low resistance because of lockdowns it would make sense for most people to consider getting one IMO.

The way it appears its being implemented certainly isn't how I would approach it. Families will have to deal with the realities of the situation; yes I can imagine in some cases it will cause problems. The government appear happy to create that conundrum for people.
