You carefully go over the negatives that this action is likely to bring. Despite your best efforts, he goes ahead with the shooting. As he finds that his mobility is now restricted and that his medical bills are significant you mention to him that you said it was a poor idea. His reaction is, why are you always so negative, you need to get behind my great leg shooting project. I think we have been over the immigration brings crime idea in quite some depth. Global studies over decades have shown that the reverses is true. When you were presented with such studies you dismissed them as unreliable or biased. It’s pretty clear that you would not be persuaded by a thousand such papers.

I do find it amusing how Remainers try to paint our EU membership as some sort of great success. It wasn't. Moreover, our ability to make democratic decisions for ourselves was only going to decrease.
