And on a yellow card - some people never learn..!!

Looking at other posts “Happy Hour” clearly started in Lanzarote..!!

Have your opinion fine, everyone entitled to that..!!

Look we’re all a bit deflated and disappointed - but just don’t get personal abuse - no need for it..!!

In fact your post above is probably a better description of yourself..!!

I'm usually harsh on Mitchell, but I thought he played very well today. One sketchy play, but the rest he looked solid against a world class side.

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh. I feel we've made big upgrades at cb, especially with their intelligence and passing abilities but I just get the feeling that the full back positions are a bit Championship at the moment.im not saying he was terrible because he put a few good tackles in but to me he looks a but rushed all the time and if he can't knock it down the wing then he looks a bit lost in possession. But like you say we was playing a world class side but i just can't make my mind up on him. Decent squad player but wouldn't say no to an upgrade.

You get nothing given at Anfield and we didn’t. Usual lesson in finishing but that aside that’s a decent performance. We had them worried til their second goal and it’s been a long time since we’ve competed that well against them. Bring on the weed.

Jairo been good since coming on.

You on a wind up. He let Salah just drift pass him for 2nd goal and didnt even attempt to block the shot for 3rd goal, he was the nearest man.
If you consider that good is baffling. He let his team mates down who had battled for 80 minutes. Its not the first time he has done it, he has not bottle. Hughes must wonder, why he signed for us, if Jairo gets in front of him.

On the coach ready for a long journey back to Selhurst Park.

You know what we are all strangely content on this coach...
I can take losing 3-0 because we made a game of it and caused them problems. Under RH we would of camped in our own half for 90 minutes so it's so refreshing seeing us really giving it a go.

Disappointed with the marking for the first 2 goals. The 3rd was just pure class.. But we had our chances to go in front and to equalise. You don't take them and sides like Liverpool punish you. I will give Mitchell his due I thought he did very well against a World class player in Salah.

People slagging off Jairo. I thought he did really well when he came on driving forward. Benteke was crap. Edouard looks like he is going to be a handful for defenders.
I didn't have the benefit of seeing a replay but looked like he should of struck it first time for his chance.

Anderson is just pure quality and without getting carried away the best centre half I've seen at Palace for many years.

We don't go to places like Anfield expecting to win but I can handle losing 3-0 if we've given a good account of ourselves and caused them problems which we did.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

May I remind all those crititizing today's performance/players that 15 monthes ago when we played at Anfield there was a discussion going on in the forum after the game whether we touched the ball in their penalty area or not. Think that we gave them a fight until they scored their 2nd and had more chances to get something than in a lot of games last season. But Ok, they're Liverpool and unless you are a dreamer to go back home with nothing is not the end of the world. Would have taken 5 points after 5 games anytime when I saw the drawing for the first time.

This game showed us why Liverpool didn't spend much on players in transfer window they put it to other uses paying the people that matter

Agreed. Another good performance against a top team, looked good in possession and caused Liverpool problems throughout. Had we done better with our chances we could have got something from the game.

I agree I thought we played well and 3-0 flattered them.We let Sala loose in the box twice from corners and you can’t do that against world class forwards. The third was one of those that could of ended up in row z but didn’t .Other than that I thought we defended well and even watching that defeat I feel confident we are going in the right direction.
