Getting called the odd name hardly has that big of an effect on your life and prevents anyone doing anything. Actually as an ethnic minority in this country you're at an advantage now.

The point is you’ve no idea what effect racist abuse has on people, because you’ve never had to experience it. There are plenty of people who have experienced it who would tell you it had a transformative effect on them, but you’re happy to tell them they’re wrong.

How are you at an advantage as an ethnic minority?

Caterham, surely not?You better not say anything to them Rudi, some can speak english! My mate and I got in a lift, he was inside for 4 years and I had watched that barlinnie programme the nite before, I said to him, "would you go to barlinnie right now, for a year, for £100 grand? The burka clad lady looked at him for an answer, he said, "barlinnie is a prison in scotland". She said "oooooooooooohhhhh, you dont need to tell me where barlinnie is mate, im from Glassssgow! " Made us crack up, and just goes to show, never judge a book etc etc.

Not really the point, is it? I couldn’t care less where she grew up. England is not a place for Burkhas, female oppression and all the nonsense they bring into our country and culture. Look what happens when this culture becomes the majority. Everyone moves away. I won’t look to Scotland for a lead.

Purley, Caterham, Selsdon, wallington. It’s happening. But as long as it happens over there. Soon after, ‘’I think we should move.’’

I agree with you about Burkah's being ridiculous.

Some would argue that the way to deal with an issue that oppresses women, is to bring in laws that disadvantage people that aren't white British.

What about the single women who chose to wear the burka for their own religious beliefs? Like a nun over here, or a vicar with a dog collar?Someone not being coerced by her husband? Is that acceptable in caterham?

To be fair, i"m not a lover of the burka, especially up Edgeware road where they wear the fully covered face with golden chains , maybe the unknown, but the ones where you can see the face and they aren"t black in colour, don"t look as severe. Some just wear a scarf type burka, but to be honest none of them get my blood pressure up.

Yeah that’s what they say. They’re either expected to, forced to, or are brainwashed into it. You cannot compare this to a nunnery or a vicar. And I’ll remind you that this isn’t a nation of Islam.

Nuns and vicars weren't brainwashed into believing that a cloud fairy built the whole universe in 7 days, then a man was tricked by a woman to eat an apple that made them both feel bad about being naked? Eventually, they developed textiles, then somehow that developed into a situation where people who devoted their lives to the cloud fairy had to where habits or and dog collars.

But you are right, this is a country based on Christian vales with religious freedom. People are allowed to wear stupid things that I find stupid if they want. Like Burbery caps, or bow ties.

Are you a parody? Look, I can pick many postcodes in England you can go and live in to test your views in. Come back and tell us your findings, or not, because you’re an infidel.

My written English isn't great, but we should really get someone to write your posts for you.

I'll re-write it.

"There have been a number of reports in Afghanistan where women who haven't worn face coverings have been attacked, sometimes with the use of acid. Does this mean that those women in Afghanistan are wearing Burkas out of their own free will?"

Well PV, if you read up the page, we've already established that many people are concerned that women my be forced/coerced/brainwashed into wearing the garment. No one is saying this is right. However, forcing women not to wear them isn't a logical way of dealing with the ideology.

In the past, I've heard Muslims say that their the necessity to wear a full face coverings isn't from any scripture. It's a cultural development which is oppressive to women.

As you may have noticed, the woke BBC News have been reporting that we had been supporting efforts to modernise Afghanistan over the last two decades, which includes improving people's lives. Some may have defined it as a "culture war".

Kriss Donald experienced it.

I experienced a broken bone from it growing up in Brixton.

How transformative is that?

The only pleasure I get from the future is the shock so many are going to get when they realise that Eastenders isn't a documentary.
