Thought the Japanese were bad enough with their behaviour at Taji but this beggars belief
The photos that accompanied this account are truly horrific

Whilst I find this horrific shouldn't we celebrate the culture of the islanders?

there has been a tunami of Thai Brides hitting the Faroe Islands for a few years now.

The native Faro women all seem to go to Uni in the UK and never return to the islands.

So all the blokes have limited options : so this phenomenon has rocked the islands. A phenomenon witnessed in much of the West, but more starkly so in the Faroes.

And the Dolphins ? its culture innit ?

Terrible and pointless. Not modern culture, and unnecessary. I've stopped eating sea food since watching seas piracy. I want no personal part in it. So no fish and chips for me.
I don't particularly care about animals we breed to eat. Basically, that's their job, although I do expect certain standards. But killing dolphins and whales - who are closely related to us, just seems cruel and not commercially or culturally necessary, or relevant to the 21st century.

You should read about Taji

Are you saying that the men having Thai brides is in some way linked to their treatment of Dolphins?

If not and it's just a tangent, well yes women are allowed to leave a country and gain an education elsewhere if they want to.

Terrible mistreatment of such intelligent creatures. No doubt they could point to some of our farming practices, but it's still very shocking to think nothing of being in the midst of such an inhumane bloodbath. If there's enough money in it for people, or it's 'easy money' there's not much some won't do.

I can barely look at such things. Again, unnecessary and just cruel. I get so angry, I'm reminded of their treatment of WWII prisoners. Irrational perhaps, and I understand Stirling's points about Japan, however, I'm not happy with these practises. Sanctions should be put in place, simple as. Stop, or face the music. Ignorance and arrogance at its finest. It makes me dislike Japanese people, which is silly and unfair, but it does.

you racist. Next you will be stopping all Orientals going to the Faroes, regardless of whether their culture involves killing whales with harpoons.

It's an abhorrent practice, and I can see why you'd feel that way, but it pays to factor in that the vast majority of Japanese don't even eat whale meat or have anything to do with this practice.
