It baffles me how we manage to consistently get it so wrong.

Yesterday we nipped up a coupe of mins before half time to grab a beer and some grub. We were served before the half time whistle so should have been plenty of options.

I ordered a steak pie, but was told that they only had vegan ones left, so then opted for a burger, but alas they didn’t have burgers either. What they could offer was a hotdog in a burger bun.

Now its not as though there was an unexpected rush on a little café, this is a premier league stadium. They know exactly how many people are going to walk through the door, on what day and what time. And they have (hopefully) all the historical data to show how much they sell, and even how sales vary by kick off time, day of the week etc.

So why on earth is my only meat option a hotdog in a burger bun. Its beyond a joke…and that’s before paying £5 for a can of Carlsberg.

I know it doesn’t help you in the ground, but you get a decent burger, chips and a drink for £4.25 at the chicken place up Whitehorse lane opposite the away fans entrance. Or a sausage roll and a coffee for £2.25 from greggs up the high street.

It’s over priced rubbish inside the ground, but then if they’ve sold out of certain stuff before half time someone’s still buying it I suppose

I agree with you their Monkey. The chicken shop is very good. The food in the ground generally tastes like cardboard whatever you order.

Should have had the vegan pie, if it had been hotter, it was very nice. Still no loyalty points on offer for food. Really should be sorted out by now

I'm sure that the executive boxes were well catered for and that's all that really matters - to the management

And why the hell they can't opt for the Twickenham model where drinks are continually poured and they just grab what is needed.
The must be able to have a rough idea how many pints will be needed.
If they speeded up this way they could sell more, particularly at half time when its not worth bothering at present.

I gave up buying food in the Great a number of years ago. Once the proper sausages were replaces by the cheap ones. Another example of profit over quality - that said actually, for a Premier league club, I'm sure a few extra pennies on a sausage make all the difference between staying aflot and going bust.

I can't see the point in ordering a pint at half time, as you have about 10 minutes to throw it down your neck (if your lucky enough to be served within 5 minutes of the half time whistle).

If you can't wait until after the game, then I think you might need to seek professional help.

I’ve given up on the cardboard and gnats piss that Palace steal your money for. They really should be ashamed of themselves and you can’t even bring in a take away. Total monopoly of s***e food.
Mind you, give me a good squad over that any day. Just sad that our catering dept. Are so bad.

Stopped trying to buy anything at HT years ago. Too stressful poor quality and over priced.
I wish they would just stop bothering to serve any food inside the ground and allow us the option to bring in our own food. Better options outside and I personally would prefer to bring my own sandwich and a thermos flask but a risk that stewards will allow it to be brought in.

Nothing new, tbh the food and warm beer has been piss poor and overpriced for decades. But after 9 years in the prem, maybe it’s time to invest in decent catering and drinks options .. charging a fiver for a tin of lager is just not giving a f about your customers.
